They outplayed the Oilers 5 on 5, but with 8 powerplays you need to cash in more than once, especially with all the talent upfront. That non call on Hughes getting highsticked in the face was definately the turning point, would have been a double minor and cancelled out the Oilers powerplay

Wish this guy nothing but the best, maybe still a chance in hockey somewhere, if not then whatever career path he chooses, he deserves a fresh start with his fiance, got dragged into a bad situation by some lunatic because he left her on read.

Renewed our quarters for a 6th straight year, moving to other end of the rink for the first time, from section 101 to 114, can see the Canucks shoot on that end twice now

Seems like de Haan chose Carolina over us so Dekeyser was the backup plan.
Nothing wrong with a PTO. Worst case an extra body for pre-season games.
I remember the weirdest PTO year was when Gillis brought in Manny Legace & Todd Fedoruk
Owen Nolan was another weird PTO in 2011

Cool, Canucks forward depth and goaltending could be better than all these teams

It just feels like same old, same old. It makes no sense to keep JT Miller right now. There is a good chance he regresses this year and the years to follow. It’s just such a big risk. We really needed a dman. This just change the team at all if they don’t trade him and I don’t get how you can bring everyone back. I know there is time but man it always feels like we are always the team looking and drooling over other teams moves. I am tired of hearing how they couldn’t get something done. No picks added and no trade. Where are these so called big moves.? Might still happen but today was a big disappointment. For those of you who think we need him, you need to give your heads shake. We are not anywhere near contention and our defense sucks. What are we keeping him for then?
So you'd rather they trade a 100 point forward for a garbage return? If other teams don't budge thats not the Canucks fault, this day was far from a disappointment, they added a legit goal scorer to their prospect pool who was ranked top 10 in the draft

No thanks, another 6/7 defenceman, we already have enough of those. Edmonton let this guy go and Carolina benched him during the playoffs, some idiotic team is gonna give up too much to acquire this guy, props to his agent for hyping him up, but this is a hard no for me, hope the Canucks stay far away from this
