You get 1 year of Post Secondary school paid for for every year in the CHL not sure the actual $$ figure per year is though. So he will get 4 years paid for plus whatever he has made playing pro hockey.

Are we that delusional that we wouldn't take Draisaitl lol. Draisaitl is an absolute beast he's also the 2nd highest PPG player in the playoffs ever so far in his young career I (and probably every GM in the league) take Drai in a heartbeat.

You don’t sign Miller and Boeser in the first place because they aren’t going to be producing by the time the team is ready to compete. A 34-37year old Miller is unlikely to be worth $8 million a year.
Boeser is a UFA before most of those guys, so that part doesn’t even make sense.
You do need players and hit the cap floor. From the sounds of it Boeser and Miller you would need to retain to get value for them however if you traded Pettersson, Hughes or Demko (a little bit less so) you would have an absolute lineup wanting them and a bidding war these are the players that strike a rebuild not Miller or Boeser they are the guys you keep in a rebuild.

People are actually hilarious if we are rebuilding you keep players like Miller and Boeser and you trade players like Demko, Pettersson, and Hughes because by the time this team would be ready to compete Hughes Pettersson and Demko will be ufas and will not want to sign with us.

He is their #1 untouchable... and it would take Hughes and Horvat to even get them to entertain listening and they still probably say no.
