  1. At least @King Heffy showed up and faced the music when Chaisson turned out to be quite the useful player for us helped us on this crazy run we are on. Will Mr. Vedder show similar character when it comes to his own personal whipping boy, Brock? To Mr Vedder I would say its never a bad thing to admit one is wrong. I was initially lukewarm on having Boudreau back as coach next year. I was profoundly misguided on that one.
  2. Myers has been solid this year, despite the narrative that swirls around him sometimes.
  3. Btw, I’m on a ferry and can’t get radio reception through the steel hull so I’m following the game by way of this forum. please be entertaining.
  4. First no Bo…a disaster in itself. And now no Chaisson. We are officially screwed now.
  5. Just heard its snowing in Toronto. Still no idea why anyone would want to live out that way.
  6. That’s how I took it. Displays a shocking misreading of reality otherwise. Not to bag on Brock, who I like, but Horvat pretty much eclipses Boeser in every aspect of the game (goal scoring included) other than The Flow. Bo is starting to exhibit some obvious thinning of the lettuce up top. Hopefully the team can rally around the loss of The Captain, but I think some folks are going to be in for a rude awakening when they realize what this team is like without Bo as its foundation in term of matching up with the other teams top lines.
  7. 8 years? Just the possibility he might not be one of those players who “ages well” makes that a hard no for me. I can live with the dollar amount per year, but that term…yikes.
  8. Looking at the lineup without Bo ain’t pretty. Not saying we can’t beat Dallas without him, but trying to win the next 7 of 8 without him… I wonder when they will actually disclose the specific nature of the injury. The NHL’s transparency in this regard is ridiculous.
  9. I don’t believe in things like curses. But with the Canucks I think I’m about ready to make an exception. What a kick in the nards this is.
  10. Makes one wonder what the hell Old Brucie was thinking with his “he’ll be fine” comments post game. A case of Hopium I guess.
  11. Canuck Luck has proven to be a more powerful force than Serendipity over the years.
  12. If even the average player invested a portion of their earnings into some solid dividend paying investments they’d have a steady stream of income greater than any of us in here could fathom. A retirement on cruise control. I get the feeling that most hockey players are smart with their money….the Evander Kane’s are the outlier I think.
  13. If he looked straight into the camera and said “I love playing in Canada and would have no issue with continuing to play in Canada where hockey is king”, or something to that effect, that’s all it would take to convince me. JT Miller doesn’t spew BS so I’d take him at his word. But don’t forget the wife-factor. That has weighed heavily into player decisions before as well.
