[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Locke Lamora replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Just a gut feeling on my part. Again, not putting a ton of conviction behind it. I’d prefer he stays if it’s a contract good for both the player and the team. This is Rutherford’s (and his helper Allvin) first big test. -
[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

Alf says stuff right outta crazytown at times….but I’ve never really been convinced that JT wants to keep playing in Canada. I’ll be happy to be wrong though. -

The GMJB haters squirm a bit when you bring who is responsible for us having JT. Or that the team we are watching now is pretty much GMJB’s team as he constructed it. As for Dermott, saw some things from him in the last game that were very encouraging. His presence certain has a notice effect on the mobility of our D-core.

The way some turned on Bo in here over the past few months has been awful. People talk about “Bubble Demko” but “Bubble Bo” was pretty much as good. And the next time Brucie feels the urge to tout JT’s leadership characteristics, and sort of in a backhanded way diminishing Bo while he does it, he should make time and watch Bo Horvat against St. Louis in those playoffs. 10 goals in 17 playoff games that year. A Beast of a Captain. And now he’s showing signs of ramping up again to that level. I’d pity any team facing Horvat if we do indeed make the playoffs.- 501 replies

Quinn Hughes watch...Coming after Lidster
Locke Lamora replied to Kevin Biestra's topic in Canucks Talk
King of the Homers Love Quinn, but Makar is the better player currently. And you know it deep down in your alien soul. -
Skating has improved, but needs to make another jump for him to contribute in the NHL. He’s got a wicked shot, but if he doesn’t have the pace to get to shooting positions it won’t matter much. Still, hope he signs so that we have another kid with some potential in the pipeline.

Somewhere out there, Drance, Suckhairass and Price, and some of the SN650 regular hosts are starting to sweat. Many of them have staked so much on their certainty that the Canucks were dead and buried in terms of the playoffs. The boys need to find a way to play with this desperation at Rogers arena. We will know soon, once they get back home, if it was trade deadline stress that made them play so tepid on the last homestand. Gotta say, EP is starting to make me a believer that he might actually have Selke chops one day. What a complete game he is showing. Just got to get stronger on his skates. Still doing a Bambi impression sometimes. And our two captains (lol) racing neck and neck for the team lead in goals.- 501 replies

But we are trading Dumko and Horvat….got it. -
I still think Bo is a 2C myself, but he’s an elite 3C thats for sure. Bo’s only a couple of goals back from “The Messiah” JT Miller (I love Miller like every one else) and could very well overtake him for team lead in goals by the end of the season. Bo is becoming a sneaky good goal scorer and I never really thought he’d be looking more advanced in this aspect of the game than Brock.
-
I’ll give him some more time before any full judgements on him are made by me, but EARLY impressions are that I think I know why the Leafs were ok with letting him go.
-
Lol. Rutherford probably just needs the prescription on his glasses updated. Or maybe, and most likely, his not mentioning Bo means absolutely nothing. Bo has been an absolute beast lately. He should remain as part of the bedrock of our team.
-
Lol, the folks who were crapping all over Horvat and wanted him traded or at least stripped of his “C” now are going to have to watch him set a personal high in goals….the way he’s going he’s surely going to 30+. People are quick to forget that most players have ebbs and flows to a season (what JT has done this year is a rare feat) and also we have learned recently that Bo was hit pretty hard by his second case of COVID. Bo is a stud and shame on those who turned on him. Has a cute kid too.

With the big Finn Lammikko in the middle. There’s a line that would not be fun to play against. -

Really getting the feeling that we are going to play well enough to just miss the playoffs while simultaneously hurting our draft position. Honestly, everything rests on the Dallas game. And the out of town scoreboard was not kind to us tonight. On a side note, freakin LOVED the way Podz played angry tonight. Do that every night young bull then ol’ Brucie won’t be benching you in the third anymore.
