[PGT] New Jersey Devils at Vancouver Canucks | Mar. 15, 2022

Yeah, so…the Horvat haters can go suck it. -
I still can’t believe we finally have a defenseman like Quinn Hughes. Compared to just last year he has taken another step, especially defensively….forget what happened in the 3 on 3 overtime….that stuff happens. I would not rule out him being a 80+ (90?) point D-man at some point in his career. Tampa Bay is going to be another tough opponent, but my faith is growing in our team. My main worry is Demko becoming fatigued…starting to see a few little cracks appearing in his game here and there. But we have no choice but to ride him.

So where are the folks who live to sh*t talk our captain now? -

Weird feeling cheering for the Penguins. -

Agreed. Another thing I noticed in that video was the good chemistry and vibe between Miller and Bo. Anyone remember when Suck-hair-ass (aka Matt Sekeres) was trying to float the story about a rift between Bo and JT? Had about as much validity as his “report” about Quinn Hughes getting I.V.’s when he had COVID…which was later totally debunked. Have I mentioned how awful many of the Van media are lately? Ugh. -

Exactly. Do I think that Bo is currently as good a player as JT? No way. But this does not disqualify him from remaining our captain one bit. If Bo leaves the team, and JT remains, sure….I’d give strong consideration to JT for captain. I do have some concerns about his hot headedness, but he seems to have matured significantly of late. I love to make fun of Leafs Nation, but I’ll bet they don’t sit around and talk about ripping the “C” off Tavares and giving it to Porn Stache, who is their best player by a mile. A segment of Canucks fandom is just rather unfortunate I’ve learned over time. -

With the utmost respect, anyone who was thinking that Bo wasn’t still an important leader on this team is pretty clueless. -

Pretty much this. A win trumps a 3rd place record for me. -

HUGE GAME. just like the last one and the next one…and the 23 after that. Vegas is limping along so time to make hay boys! -
Long shot doesn’t even come close to describing how unlikely he is to become an NHL’er. At his size he’s gotta be putting up far better offensive numbers than he is. Didn’t, and still don’t mind the pick though.

Would you re-sign JT Miller to a 7.5m/7yrs extension?

My Captain!!!!!! -
The mental gymnastics “Drancer” (lol) is going to exhibit tomorrow as he attempts to down play the Canucks playoff chances will both be cringeworthy (as per his usual) but perhaps even somewhat entertaining. And yeah, JT ain’t going anywhere as long as the Canucks keep up this pace of winning. The optics of Rutherford doing it now, or in the next few weeks, would be AWFUL and would not set up the new regime well in the eyes of the fanbase. If JT makes it clear he doesn’t want to sign here in the Summer, you trade him then. Canucks need to win 6 of 7 on this coming home stand. 5 at a bare minimum.

LOL. When Bo retires as a Canuck? Sure. But Bo’s still only 26….so Podz is gonna have a bit of a wait. But by then his English should be solid. And I know the only folks excited about Chaisson as a player are his immediate family, but he was damn solid tonight. A pretty decent signing by the First Jimbo.

Podz was an absolute beast on the forecheck tonight. And every time I post about Podz I feel compelled to mention his age. 20. A man-child. He is going to be terrorizing D-men in our division for the next decade+.

Hey, when things are going good, Miller is great and shows certain leadership attributes. But do folks forget just how sulky and immature his act was when things were BAD? Bo is a rock no matter what. Folks are so damn fickle. Here we are perhaps about to make a Cinderella run to the playoffs but folks on the radio are talking about how J.T. should be captain over Bo. Only in Vancouver. Bruce’s lack of tact in his interviews only fuels it.
