  1. Allvin, whenever he has to do some public facing stuff, is really not impressive whatsoever. Rutherford clearly catering to his PIttsburgh connections far too much in my opinion. Would be great to have a GM, after Benning and Allvin, who could speak in a way to inspire confidence and enunciate a plan with some manner of skill. And yeah, agree with the person that said “Tocc” (lol) has a bit of an air of meathead to him. No choice now but to sit back and see what happens with this travelling sh*tshow.
  2. Agree with the premise of the this thread wholeheartedly. That Rutherford, a Hall of Famer, is conducting things in this manner is stunning to be honest.
  3. This will never stop being my team. But I can see my daily give-a-sh*t-meter on the decline already. Already finding myself PvR’ing most of the games, rather than organizing my schedule to catch them live. I’ll always hope for the best….but I don’t see how we emerge quickly from this. The thing that makes me most angry is that my aging dad may well never see this team win the Cup.
  4. As dull as Allvin is, he really should have been there beside Rutherford for the presser.
  5. Allvin is more on the Benning level of communication. The less he is trotted out there the better.
  6. Dammit, only caught the last 5 minutes or so.
  7. That’s the first time I’ve heard that. If true, and its the Colorado Av media that broke that info, says quite a bit about the Van hockey media crew. More than has been said already, that is.
  8. Don’t have one of Guenther’s pedigree currently….especially with Lekkermaki’s struggles. And really, can’t have too many young talented wingers so that you are able to move out, older, and perhaps overpaid ones.
  9. With his size and shot, as well as solid skating he’s going to be a very good NHL’er. Would have looked really good in our currently rather empty looking prospect pipeline.
  10. So the Miller at centre experiment is suspended once again, and after it was Horvat’s duty to help him along while JT got his sh*t together on the wing, its now EP’s turn.
  11. To many bad teams to leap past for it to be a realistic outcome, but I see the dream of it brings some folks some comfort.
  12. I’m adamant that you NEVER apologize for having a great goalie. They are the most important player, biggest difference maker, on a team. But yeah, seeing this team with “normal” goaltending has been a bit of an eye opener to put it mildly. I would even admit that I’m a little bit concerned that we’ve already seen peak Demko. The injury stuff is very concerning.
