Psycho_Path replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This year. Bumped up to 82.5 or something like that -
[Signing] Lightning re-sign Mikhail Sergachev

60 mil on 7 players. That leaves what? 25 mil for the remaining 16 players? Will be interesting to see how that works -
What's your bold prediction for game 1 next season?
Psycho_Path replied to Googlie's topic in Canucks Talk
bold prediction. The Canucks score 9+ in the 1st game -
Young Stars Classic to return + Canucks off-season key dates
Psycho_Path replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Same problem Palmu had, and I believe Dahlen had some issue with it as well, so trying to imply that that was the case because JV was an idiot is pretty stupid IMO, not that I'm going to say he was the smartest guy or anything. I don't think there's any point arguing with you about it though since you're clearly set in your mind. Doesn't even matter anyways. Think what you want. -
Young Stars Classic to return + Canucks off-season key dates

JV basically indicated himself he wasn't sure what the issue was when he was sent down the first time. I think if he'd been coached better, even benched, but had a clearer understanding of how he was expected to play that would have helped him a great deal. I'm not going to say that JV wouldn't have benefitted from the treatment you're indicating Podkolzin had under Boudreau this year (I didn't watch the games, just the highlights). Being in better systems certainly would have helped his game overall regardless. -

I certainly wish JV had the opportunity to be coached by someone like Boudreau. -
ya, I get why people don't want to see Poolman back (perception/point totals), but he's excellent for his role IMO. I'd be happy to see him back, especially under Boudreau's coaching. That 2nd table has the same problem as the first. Love those salary per minute projections for lockwood and dries, lol...
-
Can you average salary per % of season played? Pretty disingenuous to equate a player like poolman's 3 points to assuming he played a full season at $2.5M when he only played less than half the season, and that under our previous coaching regime before this team actually had better coaching, or Travis Dermott's 2 points with the team vs a $1.5M salary hit when he played the majority of the season with Toronto and had a total of 7 points this season.

Didn't know that. Thanks for posting.

True enough the NHL doesn't have to rig it for the odds to be bad enough anyways, but I'm not going to trust that draw until they actually show it happening.

"then we need to have intentionally unwatchable hockey for 3+ years and hope the NHL isn't rigged and we can win the lottery" Team tank ftw!

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at Colorado Avalanche | Mar. 23, 2022
Psycho_Path replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
so, a typical game then? -
Did this seriously happen? Like the canucks get %^&*ed over earlier in the season by a high sticking call of an opposing player that knocked the stick out of one of our players' hands into their teammates face and that call can't be overturned, but this can? What a joke, not that it's any surprise really. The canucks have been getting &^*(ed in the %^& by the league for decades, hence that statue of Roger Nielsen.

Vancouver Bans Single Use Plastic Bags On January 1, 2022
Psycho_Path replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
I think they should just charge more per bag. Like 25-50 cents. Forces people to think more about just tossing them out without using them for a 2nd use, if that's what they think the problem is. Would probably get me to bring in my own plastic bags (which I already have been doing for 7-11 since they don't give plastic bags anymore) -

Psycho_Path replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
why is our government so stupid? Love having to buy garbage bags in bulk... Good job reducing plastic, morons. Also I hate using paper bags. I intentionally bring a plastic bag in my pocket to 7-11 when I buy things because carrying things for 15 minutes in a paper bag is tiring. -
Billions is solid. The Expanse is a good sci fi show. Don't recall which service shows it. Most of my favorite movies are dramas, but here's a few action and comedy movies that I recommend (I'll stick to 10 of each). Action: Braveheart Drive End of Watch Sin City Man on Fire Django Unchained Payback Boondock Saints Eastern Promises The Dark Knight Comedy: Van Wilder Office Space Napoleon Dynamite Galaxy Quest The Other Guys Monty Python and the Holy Grail Zoolander Groundhog Day Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle Blast From the Past
