  1. Gross man. Hopefully Leafs stink it up tomorrow. Then it’s just 24 hours coming up about how Leafs are MVPs in these playoffs.
  2. I’m hearing: Petey 5 years, average of $6.5M Hughes 4 years, average of $6M Source: my butt. It’s pretty reliable, although I’m not denying it’s sometimes full of $#!¥
  3. It seems like too much a coincidence that researchers were getting sick in a corona testing lab in Wuhan shortly before Covid was born. But given China’s complete resistance to cooperate with any investigations, I doubt the truth will ever be confirmed. But what if China was found guilty / responsible for accidentally leaking Covid from a lab? A virus that has killed 4 million worldwide, and caused all kinds of health related conditions in others. What do you think would happen? Would there be any real repercussions / consequences? China is a super power, and nobody particularly wants to mess with them. I’d guess there would be some finger wagging and that’s about it.
  4. Does anyone else want to see Matthews get drilled really hard into the boards by Weber? Like, so hard that they need a spatula to chisel his moustache off the boards?
  5. This kind of game is what is so disappointing about the NHL. I knew the Leafs would get a ton of power plays this game, as the NHL would give them every chance to win this game and tie it up.
  6. I don’t mind keeping Green too. It shows a lot of patience - almost like an American NHL team, where you can get away from fan pressure. This team is on the cusp of greatness, with a solid foundation in place. It’s a team with heart - one that can win playoffs rounds when it gets in.
  7. Some similarities to what he did to Daniel Sedin (which of course wasn't direct head contact, except for the fact Daniel's helmet took off the moment of impact):
  8. I was shocked by the lack of respect his teammates already showed Edler. He gets beat to a pulp by the Leafs’ messed up interpretation of the code, and not one Canuck lifts a finger about it.
  9. This is either a classless move, or management have agreed on another one-year term with Edler.
  10. Last Canucks game until October (sigh)... that’s a painfully long time. It’s quite likely the last game for a few Canucks, including Edler. It’s been a hard season to watch at times, but still beats no Canucks hockey. Go Canucks! Might as well go for the win today.
  11. I don’t mind this move. If we get a new GM for next season, there would likely be a bit of tearing down to get their own unique footprint / identity on the team, which could set us back even further. I’m hopeful next year will be two feet forward after a step back this season.
  12. Our defense is so soft. Benning sure blew it with Tryamkin. We could have really used him next season.
  13. This is actually pretty disturbing, and I hadn't seen it before. Courtnall has gone through dark times, and had made bad choices for sure. He's been nailed for drinking and driving multiple times. He's no Trevor Linden in that sense of things.
  14. Despite the gloomy year, we have a lot of strong young talent now. I’m already excited for next season. I just need a team to eliminate the Leafs ASAP. Any other team I can live with winning.
  15. Courtnall is a pretty good conversationalist with players. I like the love from the current Canucks about the retro skate jersey - let’s bring it back more often.
  16. Geoff Courtnall is a good BC boy from Victoria, and played some great seasons with the Canucks. Apparently there is interest by the organization to bring him back in some capacity. Good? Bad? And what role do you think he’d have?
  17. The Sedins were inseparable. I’m guessing most siblings would not want to work together and see each other every day.
