not sure if I said it on here before, but one thing I observed at training camp in Whistler was that Thatcher Demko was labouring quite a bit when he was skating between his net and the bench. He did not look healthy, especially for someone just coming out of off-season. Not surprised that he has not played well so far this season and that he is now injured

Nasty out there tonight. Stay warm everyone

Didn’t realize Garland and Marchessault are the same height. Garland seems so much smaller

Gotta say, I'm digging these Vegas jerseys

Very sad news. Although I will say, when the Leafs did the tribute to him a few weeks ago, I figured he would continue to deteriorate over the course of the coming months and even years and would die a very slow and difficult death. The fact that he was walking and coherent and got a heroes sendoff just a few weeks ago is actually probably a blessing that he didn’t have to suffer any longer. RIP to a legend

What a joke. This team cannot trade Horvat. He is one of the few guys who actually cares

Is it feasible for us to keep Bo and trade Miller? Or is that just wishful thinking

I get more contact than that in my rec league games as a goalie. Seriously, that is not GI

Poor Bruce looks so defeated

Jared Bednar is a handsome man. OK now back to the game

MacKinnon is by far the most complete player in the NHL. What a joy to watch

I have to wonder how long a player like Hughes will want to stick it out here through all the struggles. American players are not typically very loyal to Canadian clubs. Especially with his brothers in New Jersey, I don’t know how inclined he will be to stay patient with Vancouver

A lot of this WC for Canada is about building towards 2026 at home. As disappointing as a loss is, especially given how well we played, it's a "short term pain, long term gain" kinda thing.

We've done everything but score

Look at that defending. John Herdman needs to coach the Canucks. His players will run through a wall for him

We see this all the time in hockey. Lower ranked teams are pumped to play Canada, they come out guns ablaze, dominate us, can't score, and then we take our chance and score. It sucks to be on the other side, but it's a necessary part of the learning and growth process for this team

Davies ain't intimidating Belgium. They are standing him up perfectly

Get back at it boys. Come on now. Don't fall apart just because we gave 1 up

Good teams always find a way. The longer Canada went without getting one, it was just playing into the hands of Belgium

That camera hole has been better for the Canucks than Stillman

It is just so damn easy for teams to score on us. Free real estate right in front of the net all night long

What a bonkers game. Can we not chant "Bruce there it is" unless we have like a 7 goal lead!?

Maybe we're only keeping Boeser because management knows it'll break Petey if we trade him

Just heard the news. I haven’t been on here a whole lot in the past couple years, but there was a period of time where I think I spent more time with the folks on CTC than I did with my own family and friends lol. It has been an absolute pleasure following the team with all of you. I have always envisioned coming on here after the team wins the cup and celebrating with all of you. Keep being amazing, loyal fans, and take care of yourselves!
