  1. I wasn't talking about it, because I didn't watch it, as it was on Sportsnet World instead of one their basic channels.
  2. Shaun of the Dead >>>>>>>>> Zombieland. That was a movie that far more relied on just being about zombies. I didn't laugh much when watching it. I was just speaking about the hype of Shaun of the Dead in comparison to the others in the trilogy, though it's probably better than At World's End even then. All three are golden. Agreed completely.
  3. I recommended the XBONE controller for PC about a month ago, as it was a precise and all around great. And the controller itself really is. The 10ft Micro USB cable they ship it with is a cheap piece of crap. Within the month, that cable has crapped out on me twice, with little to physical stress on it. I don't know if I want to just get it replaced a second time, or if I want a refund. The controller is too good though to actually want the latter, but I have to rescind my recommendation.
  4. I think Shaun of the Dead gets way to much hype by simply being about Zombies, but I love the movie all the same. And this is the first time that I've actually realized they were the same person. Though it does explain that feeling I couldn't shake about having seen the Hound before. Indeed.
  5. I think it might have had to with the stories they chose, and how those stories seemed primed to progress, rather than actual execution of them for me. Was she in more than one scene? I only remember her for a couple minutes on top that cliff, at the near beginning of the episode.
  6. Completely this. It is by far the best of the 3, and an easy 10/10 for me as well.
  7. Cuban Fury - 5/10 Watched that previous movie in some part due to it having Keanu Reeves, but I watched this one solely because of Rashida Jones and Nick Frost. Like that one though, it was a mistake to assume I'd get anything out of it just because of who it was starring. It was as pointless as the premise of the movie suggests it would be. It tones down most of its humour to the point where the laughs don't really exist.
  8. 47 Ronin - 4/10 Some parts of the movie were bearable, others were surely written by an idiot. The project felt like it was being run by someone who didn't know what they were doing, outside of their ability to keep vaguely upkeep an artistic style through the movie. Not really sure of the need to put the supernatural twists they did on the folktale though. I enjoy watching Keanu Reeves (seriously), but the guy cannot save a movie on his own. It really wasn't the cast on the whole that blew anything. it was the aforementioned writing that dragged everything down. The costume work was nice though.
  9. I didn't like that episode. Or at least a strong majority of it. That was probably the most disinterested I've been in an episode of Game of Thrones since it started. I have to go back and catch the last minute or so though, because my PVR cut it off. It just stopped as Lord Friend Zone was creeping up behind Tyrion.
  10. Blue Jays lose, Canucks lose, Whitecaps lose, Blackhawks win, Man United lose, Raptors lose, and the Jays lose again just for good measure. I don't know what I did to piss off the sports Gods so badly this weekend.

The problem is that 2 are Toronto based teams and 2 are Vancouver based teams.

@87Crosby: The Hawks winning was just another one of the long list negatives for me

      @Brad Marchand and Canucks1219: True.

Every team I've cheered for in the playoffs thus far has lost

  11. Wasn't aware it was possible to be this bad against such a mediocre team, lol.
  12. Went to Lansdowne Mall, saw a bunch of classic unopened packs of hockey cards for $1 each in a bargain bin at Toys R US. Bought a couple of 1991-92 Pro Set platinum packs. I don't know how that even.

  13. Awful, lol. It's one of those cases where you have no obligation to buy it, but the precedent it sets alone is bad,
  14. PK - 8.5/10 A Hindi language movie from India. One of only a handful worthy of watching from the country in the last couple of years. The director Rajkumar Hirani hasn't missed the mark for me once so far in his career though, and he didn't disappoint here PK was an incredibly heavy handed movie for sure. All of Hirani's films are. Social commentaries to raise an awareness of obvious faults in Indian society that are never addressed as openly, or as huge a stage as they are here. It uses the presence of a literal alien from out of space to poke fun at the nature of cult shaman, and the follies of organized religion in dividing man. While the message was on point, it seemed like the movie kind of wandered a bit with subplots and whatnot at times. What prevents it from dragging at any point is that the jokes are hard, and plentiful. The directors last movie was 3 Idiots, which is the closest as any movie from India has gotten to making a perfect experience for myself. So a spiritual successor like this was a bit like At World's End following up Hot Fuzz. Was a movie that lacked a bit of consistency, and failed to quite match its predecessor, but holy $&!# was it funny.
  15. I think it really just messes up when an AI doesn't consider a player unmovable. From what I hear it sounds like you have to pay more than an arm and a leg to get a tier 2 prospect/player if the team isn't comfortable with letting them go. Why the Bruins were then ready to just ship out Hamilton then, I don't know. That's the kind of stuff that makes me not want to playtest a game for a developer.
  16. Just watched the second episode. I liked it quite a bit. Stuff doesn't need to be happening on screen all the time. Sometimes you just need to sit on things. That's why Sons of Anarchy turned into such a $&!# show.
  17. Buehrle has had 37 runs of support in his starts. That's one way to ensure you get 3 wins, lol.
  18. Your Pacquiao video and that upcoming Mayweather series I linked are the extent of that behind the scenes promotional work, I believe.

  20. I think Showtime is following Mayweather, and HBO is following Pacquiao. The one you linked is Pacquiao's HBO video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiO6-5Qj4Zs This is the Mayweather Showtime one. That is only the first episode of what the description says will be 4, but the HBO one is so much more compelling.
  21. Putting him on a level with Rikishi and Koko B Ware? I dunno, that's some high company.
