I don't think this one being boring was ever really a worry. But yeah, those guys put on a good show. -

Lololololoolol. The Big Show. You could have tried to put someone over, and you instead have the big show throw one of the biggest fan favourites in Mizdow over the top rope, why? If anything can start the show with the poorest of vibes, this is it. Big Show got some massive boos, but it could be nothing if they keep trending this way until the main event. -

They're putting on this other show as well. Wreslte-something or the other. I can only find an undercard though, the main events seem to be missing. -
Mattocks already appeared in the first two games of the season, which was my point. Hurtado is coming off the bench to play down the wings it seems, and he plays great as both a sub, and at that position. So behind Rivero is Mattocks. Well, likely not anymore, at least.

Heel Reigns and Face Lesnar? That could work. I'd still be pissed off though, lol. -
Agreed though. Considering the go to backup to him before him was Mattocks, this is a good move.

Just finished Crash & Burn by Lisa Gardner. The first half went in one direction, and the second half in about 20 different ones. It was a bizarre and even creepy book. I absolutely enjoyed it, logical inconsistencies be damned. Like Touch & Go before it, there's a unique mystery carved without the use of a whodunnit murder. Started now reading The Emperor's Blades by Brian Stavely. It has been forever since I've gone through a fantasy book, so I hope this series will be will be worth the while.

Thanks, that works. Though I was hoping for a way to upload that as 2-3 MB file, rather than the 41 MB one. I hope we're not destroying anyone's data plans here. -

They call that a go home episode? Lol. I suppose it does help underpin the general themes that will permeates Wrestlemania this year, in that it will hasty, nonsensical, and uninspired. Seriously, after all that half assed set up, it's not a surprise that this is all they could offer for their main event's defining moment: http://i.imgur.com/RWjBPXu.gifv (Sorry, I have no idea how to embed video gifs) You can taste the awkwardness, it's so thick in the air. Axlemania save us all. -
My biggest issue with the movie was Superman's complete disregard for civilian safety. I don't like making a point with a buzzfeed infographic, but I will anyways. RIP Metropolis. You had a good run.

I don't mind seeing McCallum return as a kicker. Even without power, the guy is more than accurate enough still. But please God let them sign a separate punter. I don't know enough of the market to know if there's a relevant Canadian option out there, but even another American punter will do. I don't care if he takes up an import spot, sign him and play him (sitting Ricky Schmitt during our playoff game last year was a terrible decision, not that anything would have saved us from that shellacking.)

I actually really like the Whitecaps' jerseys. They look pretty elegant and subtle to me. They'd be my favourites if Houston and Kansas' weren't so damn awesome. They do still have my favourite logo in the league though. It says so much about the team name and city's identity without having to do much. The ones I think look bad are Dallas'. Both of them. Also Toronto's new all red jersey. I thought the old one actually looked decent, but this new one is pretty bleh. I agree with the article that there are too many teams adopting a white jersey. It does get terribly boring, even if it's not the team's primary.

Sorry to keep spamming the thread, but I wanted to make another separate comment about adventure games. I'm loving that they're back in a large way. Thanks to kickstarter and independent European developers, there is such a glut of high production games in the genre. By 2010 or so, there were only a couple of games being released, fewer less that were even worth a mention. But in the last couple of years there has been a sudden resurgence. Stand alone games being released without compromise in classical point and click gameplay. Series' like Broken Sword and The Longest Joureny/Dreamfall were both rebooted through crowd funding. The Syberia series later rebooted on its own because of the re-found consumer market. All that, plus German developers really seem to have a handle on things as well. The Chains of Satinav/Memoria series has a solid fantasy story, and the Deponia trilogy is a lot stupid fun. The Deponia games in particular are odd, because the series is rife with illogical puzzles/problem solving, and a lot of the humour has this inherent awkward German-ness that doesn't translate. But there's something very weirdly endearing I find about it all. There are so many games out there that I can't even mention them all anymore. The adventure game renaissance is in line with the resurgence of turn based strategy and isometric CRPGs. They're all pretty much back.

Though that reminds me that I could really just wait on getting Cities Skylines for now. WIthin the next few weeks, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Pillars of Eternity, Mortal Kombat X, and Broken Age will all be released. The next few weeks also happen to be term paper and final exam time at college, so I won't even be able to dig into those games properly for a month either way. I also really need to beat The Witcher 1 and 2 before 3 comes out in May. Arkham Knight releasing in June. I don't really remember the last time so many relevant games were released in the first half of a year as this one. Especially odd balance with the second half and holiday season being uncharacteristically bare (for PC games). Having too many games to play is never a bad thing though.

I think the SteamOS and Steambox hardware sets will remain largely niche. If what PC gamers enjoy is their overpowered systems, and their ability to customize and interchange the parts, then I don't know that they'd just trade in that experience for what's just another console. I could see a market for new PC gamers that just want a more affordable system but efficient system, or a smaller group of fanboys that want a gadget to play with. I could see that streaming device having some benefit for a wider range of people if the price is right. Also the Steam controller, though I have no idea if it functions effectively or not, could gain its own market. But yeah, pirating is an option, lol. In the last year, I bought maybe 20 or so PC games off of place that were not Steam, and 6 of those did not require registering and playing the game off Steam to work. 2 of them, Far Cry 4 and Watch Dogs, were on Uplay, which is the same damn thing, and the other 4 games were Frozen Synapse, To The Moon, The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. Those 4, aside from being small indie games, were also released in 2012 at the latest. I do like the online matchmaking and social aspects of the platform, so that's part of why I'm frequently on it. That, plus I have nowhere else to go if I just want to game. Except for torrents, like you said. Though this year, Pillars of Eternity, Witcher 3, and Broken Age will be DRM free, so I like that at least there's an exception to the rule with mid-size publishers.

I lol'd. Ref adds some extra, extra time to the clock because the Whitecaps were intentionally wasting down the clock, and Orlando looked ready to strike. Did that gift ever backfire.

Steam is just another DRM platform, not too much less obstructive than Origin (more so in some ways). It's one of the increasing number of games that associates to Steam/Steamworks regardless of what method or which country you buy it in. I've come to be forced to accept it as a gamer, but it's frustrating to see such a lack of DRM free stuff out there. I want to order the deluxe edition of the game from the UK, but it will force me on to Steam regardless. There's no other way to play the game. Half of what makes it work that much better is that the game doesn't use the "always online" cloud saving BS that EA does for that game, so Cities Skylines by comparison is far more easy to play as you please. It made SimCity a non-starter for me. The other half is that it doesn't seem to have the crap mechanics that the new SimCity does. They really just fracked up that game in so many ways. I wouldn't have much interest in playing it if you offered me DRM-less copy for free right now.

I've always liked Bradford, and wished him the best in getting his career off the ground properly. He had a lot of potential, and that skill to eventually break out. Though I always wanted to observing that from afar. Never wanted my own team's success to hinge on his finding another level to his game, let alone managing to stay healthy.

A lot of chemistry with Rivero there.

Why is neither Goldust vs. Stardust, or Miz vs. Mizdow on the Mania card? Like how do you even frack that up? They build it right, and then just decide they'd be better off instead thrown into a generic multi man mid card title match, and knock off no stakes royal rumble instead. Like what the hell is even left on the Wrestlemania card? -
Cities Skylines looks really interesting. I've been craving a good city building game since Sim City 4, as none have been relevant since. This seems to fit the bill well.

Reasonably priced tickets were gone when I checked a month or two ago, but I'm glad in retrospect. Roman Reigns vs. Kane main event? No thanks, lol. Looks to be a couple of decent matches on the card, but I don't know if I'd go even if tickets were available. -
