Gretzky played in a different time. Point is that Petey shouldn't be paid like a like a 100+ point center that can drive the play every night. He just isn't that guy, and I doubt he ever will be. Quinn needs to prove he can play in his own end at a top 4 level before he can even think of being given a contract comparable to a Makar or a Hamilton.

On a $&!#ty team, this guy is top 5 ALL TIME offensive starts for a defenseman.  What the hell are you going on about?

and you think that's a realistic possibility?

It takes multiple influencers to enact any real kind of threat through this kind of action.

The reality of it is, even if 15k seasons tix holders rage quit, there's 15k socialites chomping at the bit to get their taste.

Live games is all about the social status box ticks, than it is about hockey.. or at least it is for around 18k of 20k seats.

Batchelor trying to stir up trouble

Leading question to Brock and then following up with his own quip about Brock's development not being attributed to current group of coaches... Lol. Brendan's gotta hide his personal agenda a little better... Sloppy journalism

If you ask a player a specific question regarding how the coaching staff has contributed to his development and the player talks about how he has developed but doesn't name coaches, you can't  infer that as a knock on the current coaching staff. Brock is responding to the question regarding the coaching staff so obviously when he talks about his development, it's answering the question.... Jeez...

The way it's written is so obvious that he's trying to stir the pot

Also should say a LOT about the coaches, should it not?

Let's see what roles they get first. I mean if it's for a player development role. Awesome, have at it, very qualified individuals but isn't really super influential like a mgmt role.

I don't know if Aquilini wants another repeat of the Linden fiasco.

This just feels like PR moves to me, but hey, I'm simply a moron.

Typical canucks to screw themselves a good draft pick. This organization. Same thing over and over. Now Benning will stay. so dumb.

This kind of come back is FAR more important for the guys who already exist, than the slide between two or three imaginary players who don't for all ostensible purposes even exist yet.

Lots of talk about sitting vets and playing new guys tonight. Can we hear some names please. Who did you want to see that was eligible to play?

Here are some of the guys who got in tonight: Michealis, Hawryluk, MacEwen, Graovic, Rathbone, Chatfield, Vesey, Boyd, Highmore and the guy everyone says has lost it, Edler. That’s a pretty large number.

Ice time was spread out more than we ever see from Travis. I guess the fourth line could have played a little more if I’m being picky.

Short of telling the players to lose (which is never going to happen and there would be literal he’ll to pay from the league) what more are you asking for? Remember, throwing games is highly illegal. Green dressed a pretty inferior lineup and they won anyways. Jeez, get over it already.

Team is out of 'free' call-ups. Anyone coming from the taxi-squad needs to be due to injury. Unsure why some kind of limit was instituted in the first place, and no idea why the Canucks weren't issues more when they were devastated by covid.

Players standing around defensively is kind of the strategy. When they get beat like they stole something or give up 40 shots per game as a result its kind of hard to lay too much blame on them. Our defense, minus a clearly declining Edler, is not suited to the system and style they are asked to play.

It's a strategy, but it's not hockey. It the Statscapades™.
