  1. The Arizona Coyotes claimed goaltender Eric Comrie off waivers from the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday, while the Jets claimed defenceman Carl Dahlstrom from the Chicago Blackhawks. All other players placed on waivers Monday cleared. Comrie was a restricted free agent this summer and signed a two-year deal with the Jets carrying $700,000 cap hit. The 24-year-old appeared in one game with the Jets last season, allowing five goals. The 2013 second-round pick posted a 25-20-2 record with the AHL's Manitoba Moose last season, recording a .917 save percentage and a 2.69 goals-against average. Dahlstrom, 24, had six assists in 38 games with the Blackhawks last season. The left-hand shot was also drafted in the second round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Blackhawks. The Swedish blueliner carries a $850,000 cap hit and is signed through next season.
  2. Wonder if this is where the Bo announcement comes?
  3. The management team has a vision moving forward, and Sven isn't included. Such is life. I hope he goes on to tear it up elsewhere.
  4. I'll take Wed Oct 9th with LA in town.
  5. Tippett: Oilers' roster is evolving, but it's not done yet. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/video/tippett-oilers-roster-is-evolving-but-it-s-not-done-yet~1792744
  6. Every single remaining member of this team knows what each of the waived guys meant to the team and each other. I expect those that remain to play their hearts out for those who were left behind. And I expect of those remaining who dog it, and there will be a few, to be treated in the same way moving forward. We fans just want some consistency in reasoning and management living up to their word. And management's words so far were just nebulous enough that the fans have put up 32 pages of confused reactions so far...
  7. It probably makes sense when you know all of what has happened over the years. As always there are way more than 2 sides, and 2 parts to the story.
  8. You know Benning tried to trade him, so it shows you what all 30 other GM's think not only of his ability, and value, but his injury history.
  9. Rule 40 – Physical Abuse of Officials 40.1 Game Misconduct - Any player who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official, in any manner attempts to injure an official, physically demeans, or deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall receive a game misconduct penalty. The NHLPA, the player and the Club involved shall be notified of the decision of the Referees on the morning following the game. The League will then hold a conference call with the NHLPA to review the Referees application of this rule, and will refrain from issuing public comment affirming the Referees application of Rule 40 until that call is complete. The player or the officials may request the Commissioner to review, subject to the provisions of this rule, the penalty imposed by the Referees. Such request must be filed with the Commissioner in writing not later than seventy-two (72) hours following notification of the penalty. The penalties imposed under this rule shall not be deemed to limit the right of the Commissioner with respect to any action that he might otherwise take pursuant to Article 18 of the CBA
  10. Dumb enough to tempt the DOP(e)S again. 10 games min for what he just did. Dumb is right, and for almost no reason.
  11. Who was the Calgary guy that plowed the linesman? This isn't as bad, but badboy Kane is gonna get some games for this. I mean, he has to? The league can't let something like this go.
  12. Sharks' Kane ejected for abuse of officials https://www.tsn.ca/san-jose-sharks-f-evander-kane-ejected-for-abuse-of-officials-1.1373869 Deryk Engelland Evander Kane , The Canadian Press San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane was ejected from the team’s final preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights for an abuse of officials infraction. The incident occurred at the 12:51 mark of the third period when Kane became involved in an altercation with Golden Knights defenceman Deryk Engelland. A linesman separates the two players and knocks Kane to the ice in the process, when the two get up, Kane appears to shove the official in the chest. Kane was assessed a 10-minute misconduct and a game misconduct on the play. Engelland picked up a cross-checking minor and a misconduct. Earlier in the game the 28-year-old also picked up a roughing minor and a fighting major for battles with Golden Knights forward Valentin Zykov. Kane finished the game with an assist and 27 minutes in penalties. ___________________________________________________ Who wanted this guy again? Thank your lucky stars he isn't a member of this team.
  13. He isn't perfect so there's room for growth, if you look at it that way too. He's the best we've ever had at the hardest position to play well at both ends of the ice.
  14. He was guilty of getting burned in the deep corners. Its coaching, the whole team does it. Collapse to the middle, block passing and shooting lanes with your body and stick.
  15. This guy? Wonder when he gets an A, btw I love Stetcher, what a story and he is a great player for us.
  16. Means are we are gonna see some movement, finally. Making good on their promises will pay dividends later.
  17. His tendency to fall down on stiff legs in the corner, and also when he thinks he's the goalie.
  18. So I was watching a Joe Rogan interview from last weekish with Rob Zombie. Turns out he is a huge hockey fan, and tried for years to do a Flyers documentary, but it never happened. He's a huge Kings fan too. https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2015/10/07/rob-zombie-broad-street-bullies-flyers-film-hit-a-wall/
  19. Only a few rag on Edler. He's franchise leader in nearly everything, and very likely everything when he is done here. He is the GOAT on this franchise. No reason to confuse a couple vocal angry people with all of CDC is there? Also, denigrating every single other D on the team to prop up your assertion that Edler is the best, kind of defeats the rest of your position about whipping boys.
