Can someone explain to me exactly why is,and for that matter, why was Brian Burke ever relevant in the NHL?
He was part of the worst stretch in this franchise's history. Sure he drafted the Sedins. And oversaw demoralizing mayhem under his ranks. Something that has been part of his package everywhere he has went, by the way. He inherited his winner in Anaheim. And then they missed the playoffs the next year and the team did not turn it around until he broke his contract to join the Leafs. The Laffs were aweful under his guidance, bloody pathetic in fact. His preaching of truculence and grit literally beat that team into the dirt for a decade. And when he joined the Flames, a promising team turned on itself and literally went down in.. flames.
The guy is a buffoon of the highest order and exactly W H A T has he done to garner his reputation and accolades in this game?
