  1. This is the guy who was posting about the Canucks revolting against management last week. Best to not mention him, but at least you didn't share his links.
  2. They were pressuring the puck in the D zone, was the only real change to their game. They still gave away the puck a bunch coming up ice, but the puck pressure is why we had the puck so much for 2 periods. The team needs to continue this pressure, rather than sitting back, because not only has the entire league figured out how to not just beat but eviscerate this crap system, I'll bloody well turn off my TV again when they do it.
  3. The team is being told to go stand in the middle of the ice and intercept shots and passes. Pretty hard to win when you don't actually go get the biscuit.
  4. When they pressed the puck from Toronto in the D zone, though they still gave it up a bunch of times, it also resulted in good chances the other way, and ending potential otherwise hemmed in posture. Was why we were dominating them through most of 2 periods last game. They buttclenched when they got scored on, and that's the end. BUT, they did actually change the D zone system, instead of concession/falling to the middle, they pressed puck carriers. The first 2 periods of last game is something to build on.
  5. Legends don't demand to be traded when they are sat out for an outdoor game.

    Blame Covid

Chinese gov't admitted a few days ago that it almost surely was leaked from the Wuhan lab, just like was freaking obvious from the very get go.
  7. Overcoached, they are decompressing 10 possible white boards filled with absolute garbage hockey every time they touch the puck. Green and Benning's days are both numbered, but it would take an owner with balls of steel to upset the cart in middle of covid season.
  8. Heh, Virtanen should have been given a penalty as well on the same play! Capped off an epically bad shift.
  9. Virtanen tripped that guy, not Roussel, after 2 giveaways 15 seconds prior.
  10. If Toffoli wanted to be in Van, he would be in Van. The fact he isn't is used by those intent on sowing discord in this team's management. Toffoli played on a jr Habs team as a kid, his whole family are Habs fans, and yet we are expected to sit here and choke back the made up lie that Benning somehow &^@#ed up. I won't swallow it, because it's absolute crap. Of course Toffoli said he "wanted to play here this season", because in this PC culture, he, and every single other player would say the same bloody thing.
  11. I said this last season, recently in a few GDT's as well, and Bieksa said it last night: this team has no identity. The entire league's skilled enough to defeat Green/Baumgartner's rinkydink team D-zone system, and this is from where the problem's metastasized now to a full blown crisis. The product we see on the ice is a lowest common denominator type system which was devised to succeed in an 82 game regular season, where you play a different team every game, and slink into the playoffs, only to theoretically find another gear. Rope a Dope regular season finally caught up to us with Vegas who quite literally skated circles around us in the D zone. Remember those 2-3mins nightmare shifts against? Well, the entire league's now figured out how to beat this crappy system, and the coaching staff is either too stubborn, egotist, or dumb (not likely this) to change. If this team does indeed have an identity, it's PUSHOVER. How do you change this? Go get the puck, and punish the other team for touching it. Another thing which grinds my gears, is in his 7th season Green and his bloody staff have STILL NOT ingrained a breakout system, other than TURN AND GO! There's rarely puck support, and when the last man gets swarmed by two forwards 4 of our guys are streaking up ice! Not only this, it seems like 80% or more of our breakouts entail 100 foot cross ice desperation passes. PICK A BLOODY WING and march the puck up ice! It worked for Scotty Bowman, why can't it work for the Incredible Sulk?
  12. Least watchable product from this franchise since the Messier debacle. No heart. No system. No clue.
  13. Toronto plays it pretty loose, so I can see our counterpunch system taking Toronto by surprise.
