  1. No idea what you're talking about. Maybe you should stick to what you know - zone starts. Oh wait... /e don't forget "modern day DFD hyper beast Gudbranson"
  2. I don't know, maybe they have lives. Or they are on other social media platforms. But because none of them fall in line with the narrative here, the general consensus seems to be that it's voodoo. So again - Trumpian; a very small, passionate group of fans are going to follow their beloved leader no matter what facts or logic tells them and whoever goes against that is either toxic or part of the conspiracy.
  3. Try to attack the opinion, not the person. Also, did Gillis kick your dog or something lol?
  4. Great dodge. At least this time you replied with something when you lost the argument, usually you just disappear.
  5. Out of 10, how happy was he? And under the same scale, how unhappy was Hughes that Tanev was let go? (your choice if you want to consider the fact that the guy they booted him out for has also just been booted out a year later).
  6. I mean that if you look pretty much anywhere else, the general thought is that Benning hasn't exactly done a great job. It's the opposite here, but only here. The results support one "side", I'll let you guess which one. The other can only offer meaningless rhetoric having to do with "the plan" and "patience". Quite Trumpian, actually. "This will be the greatest rebuild ever, people tell me, all the time, it's remarkable. Everywhere I go the people say it. We're doing a great job."
  7. No, the Schmidt saga and all the related parts sum up JB in a historical context quite well
  8. Let go of Tanev (warrior, locker room favorite, mentor and perfect D-partner for our young star D-man) to make room for a guy they had to get rid of after 1 season. Now we desperately need a D-man - or two - that are like Tanev. #planning
  9. Can't say you're wrong. He's been traded at full cap for a 3rd twice now. But again, this is a guy that can perform like a #2/3 if he finds his form. Unless Benning has an impact player lined up somehow to replace him, it just makes a lot more sense to keep him and hope he bounces back. OEL - Schmidt would be an incredible pairing if they both find their stride.
  10. Neither. A 3rd was an incredible price for Schmidt, Benning's best trade by far. Even after a tough year, Schmidt is worth more than a 3rd. Unless he desperately wanted out, I hoped we would keep him. His value to us if he has a bounce back season is obviously much higher than a 3rd.
  11. Things gotta be pretty bad for someone to accept a trade to Winnipeg just to leave your situation.
  12. Where did he say he disagreed with everyone Benning has done? Benning traded Kesler for Bonino...
  13. Miller - Pettersson - Boeser Hoglander - Horvat - Garland Pearson - Dickenson - ________ Motte - Sutter - Podkolzin MacEwan OEL - ________ Hughes - Hamonic Rathbone - Myers Juolevi - Schenn Demko ________ ________'s are players that are currently not with the organization.
  14. He's still at a deficit. Time will tell if it'll cost us. We have very little left in terms of draft picks and prospects (especially once Podkolzin graduates). After the ARI trade, the window has been opened. If this core doesn't have it, we're in for another rebuild quite soon.
  15. I'd love a player that takes less to win, but it's just not the reality of pro sports usually. If another team was offering him a significant amount more than we did, it'd be hard to blame him. You also have to take into account how much confidence the player has in his management - as in, what are they going to do with the money I leave on the table?
  16. I don't necessarily think that's the case. He seems to be a bit prickly personality wise (which I actually love) but I don't think you can equate that to unhappiness. I do believe the players in general weren't happy about the moves made last off-season, but I can see EP being here and happy about it for a long time.
  17. Because it was being talked about in the thread before I posted. Relax.
  18. Dhaliwal has proven for years he has connections when it comes to the Canucks. The problem more is whenever something is talked about but doesn't come to fruition, people think it's BS. In reality, GM's and agents talk about a lot of things that don't work out. Some discussions end quickly, other transactions fall apart at the very last minute. Some people here especially seem to take it really personally for some reason. Chill out lol
