I know, we both know what the outcome will be. Like the Gudbranson conversation, still waiting on the response to that. @Tom Sestitois probably interested as well. -

LOL How did I? you were the one who jumped into the conversation I was having with someone else, lost the argument, decided to change the topic and now I'M moving the goalposts? -

None of this has anything to do with what we were discussing. Looks like you've taken a page from @oldnews book where you just ramble on about nothing in particular that isn't even on-topic in hopes of muddying the waters. We were discussing the validity of this season vs last season. Except a lot of "fans like me" were advocates of the scorched earth to begin with, which would mean a long-term view. It's funny how I'm told that I'm not patient yet I'm the one who wasn't in favour the all the shortcuts Benning has taken. Go figure. -

What did you present? All you said was that my point was "myopic", which doesn't really mean anything. I'll refresh your memory: Was this a losing / bottom feeder season? Yes. What have the majority of seasons been like under Benning? losing / bottom feeder seasons. Therefore, last season was an outlier. Look up the definition if you're confused. -

Except you have no argument to the contrary, as usual. Keep throwing out the paper bag reactions though, it's pretty much equal to a valid argument around these parts it seems. -

My point is the below: The evidence suggests that last year's run was the outlier, based on every other season (except the season in which 90% of the team was inherited) being exactly like this year's (a tire fire). -

Every team was operating under the same conditions this year. And our outbreak occurred after the season was already over e/ for all intents and purposes. -

Except this season is more in line with pretty much every other season we've had under Benning, save for the first year where most of the team wasn't even his. The bubble was the outlier, not this season. -

Because my opinion isn't automatically a "negative rabbit hole". That's just like, your opinion, man. -

The thing is, only the controversial topics are going to be discussed for the most part. I'm pretty sure everyone here agrees that Pettersson is awesome, and Boeser is awesome, and Demko is awesome, and they were all great picks. What is there to argue about here? I don't think you need me post "Wow! Nice shot by Pettersson!" for you to know that EP has a good shot, I assume you know that. Nor is me posting something like that going to magically make you think, "Wow, he said something nice about one of Benning's moves. Maybe he is right about Benning being a bad GM. He just validated his negative opinions with a positive one, so now I will consider his viewpoints more seriously!" C'mon now lol -

Well that's obviously your confirmation bias. And even if it were true, it wouldn't invalidate any of my opinions. -

Except it's not true, and you're going to believe whatever you want to believe. Do I need to make a list of all the things I like about the Canucks and put in my signature to justify any "negative" posts I make or something? -

No, that's a you problem, not a me problem. -

I get what you're trying to do but it makes no sense. Season was already done when the team went down. -

Find it truly astounding how some fans almost feel like it's their duty to do damage control for this franchise lol -

Hard to think of a better word for someone who went so far to defend the Gudbranson trade as to calling him "a modern day defensive defensemen uber beast" or whatever the laughable quote was. Whenever someone makes claims like that, it's hard to take their posts seriously and as anything other than pushing a certain agenda. -

It really was unfair to us how the league gave every team in the league except the Canucks a full preseason and training camp. Can't believe more wasn't made of this conspiracy. But we shall keep fighting the good fight! -

Not surprised. This summer is likely a major turning point for me as a fan, personally, depending on the moves that are made. Go Canucks
