I recently emailed a professor I had during my undergrad in Political Science, and it was quite sad to hear how, even within a span of 4 years, the dynamic has changed so much. The professor I emailed was great at playing both sides of the political spectrum during our seminars on international development and playing the role of a "right-leaning" person to provoke discussions with a class that was heavily left, including myself. He told me how students only come to class to validate their beliefs rather than having them challenged.

Can we just move this team to Quebec City already? There's a nice, brand-new arena waiting for them.

Well the markets have gone up with little momentum the past few days

I'm still trying to understand how this inflation can cause the equity market to go into a downturn. Theoretically, doesn't inflation make stock prices go up? More QE and stimulus cheques means more money to put in the stock market? Higher inflation means profits go up because the prices of goods go up? I'm sure I'm missing something here. I've been looking into the Teucrium Soybean and Corn funds, which are based on futures contracts I think...are these things meant to be day-traded or can they be held onto for long periods of time (i.e. do they decay)?

Sounds like a good idea for some precious metals, but I don't think I have the same option for other commodities such as agricultural ones.

Lithium looks like another play to keep in mind, thanks. Anyone got thoughts on inflation? It's crazy how the USD money supply has gone up over 25% or something like that in just a single year. Apparently inflation hasn't kicked in yet because there's nowhere to spend the money (i.e. money velocity at pretty much all time lows). Once the pandemic is over and people start going back to normal spending habits...look out. Happy to listen to contrary views if there are any out there.

Has anyone delved into commodities? Do you just invest in individual companies who produce corn, uranium, gold, etc? ETFs? Looking into it to hedge against impending inflation... Got a bit of a position in a gold miner so far, but looking at other raw goods.

Not sure how the market is "highly inflated?" Quarantine rules and a flat cap will probably make the trade market especially difficult to move assets this year.

Maybe the players are putting the blame on Green's systems and strategies then? Not saying it's justified blame, but the players have been claiming that the effort hasn't been lacking during this slump, so it makes you wonder what they think the problem is.
