  1. Curious to see how tomorrow shapes up for Group E. A Japan tie against Spain would force Germany to beat Costa Rica and cover the Goal differential. A Japan loss and Germany could get in with a win. If Costa Rica wins, the Spain-Japan game becomes even more important, so I don't think you'll see any team rest starters.
  2. The Broncos offensive line looks even worse than Seattle's did, with Russell scrambling on every play. Russ is struggling this season, but the play-calling and o-line have made things much harder on him than it should have been.
  3. I have invested in both FUSE and PWM, as their price points make it easy to commit to them and I agree they should both be positive locks. I'm not sure what their peaks are, but they don't have to skyrocket.
  4. I mean, that's all true, but I thought Canada might get a high from the first game and get some goals. I agree that Canada put on a good show though, which shows promise for the next two games.
  5. More shocked by Canada losing than Germany tbh, as Germany has no cohesion and finishing. Canada looks like a good team, but they also failed to score on a penalty and it cost them.
  6. Yeah, Legghio has really low trajectories on his kicks too, so it makes them more blockable. I don't think you'll see him back next year, as even the kickoffs/punts were terrible (even with the wind) which gave Toronto a lot of short fields.
  7. Bombers did not play well and Legghio choked under pressure again. Argos played better and deserved the win.
  8. I agree! Our top-end guys aren't good enough and we don't have a good defense. Bedard would be a huge, but impossible piece. Hard to build out of this, so better to tear it down and start again.
  9. I feel like there's no trust in this core. With the Sedins, we knew we were building around them and trying to find the pieces to make it work, but there doesn't seem to be anything sustainable to build around here. I think building from the net out would have been a better idea, where it sucks to not score goals, but it's more structured and you can find someone to score easier than to find a whole team identity
  10. I don't like how heavily the league looks at prior infractions. I feel the league penalizes you more for your 2nd theft than your first murder.
  11. Kirill Koltsov was a d-man I wanted to come over, but never did. Not an ex-canuck per se, but I do remember a few wanting him to come over
  12. Choke hard for Bedard

    1. Coconuts

      Coconuts

Just a bit of light choking with a winning streak towards the end of the season to lift us in the standings

  13. With the trade, the Canucks continue the streak of having Florida drafted players on their roster

    1. Master Mind

      Master Mind

Apparently this streak is at 24 years, going back to Jovanovski

  14. Focus on yourself and cut ties. Hell, you don't even have to say goodbye. Maybe it's something years later that you go back to, but definitely move on and focus on yourself. Meet new people, do new things, and just try to live life. Time helps with healing, so please be patient with yourself.
  15. Rest In Peace Jen Smyl

  16. Hamhuis was a free agent who wanted to sign here. Ehrhoff was a good advantage of cap. Taney was one of the best free agent signings from college
  17. Free Big Mac with every Tractor purchase...oh wait, I think McD's stepped out of Russia.
  18. I think the progression of Kesler and Horvat are quite different; where Kesler really owned defensively and then grew offensively, then added a lethal shot, Horvat has improved skating and focused more on offense, but also getting a bit better defensively each year. I think Kesler being used as the main shutdown worked well, whereas Horvat would be better suited as a two-way guy who should get you points without costing you defensively. I still think a great shutdown center would be beneficial to at least split roles with Horvat.
  19. Bridge deals are usually given to players coming off their ELC where the cap doesn't work for a big deal or the team isn't convinced enough to commit long-term. Bo is an established player and will go for what he is worth, and it will be a long-term contract.
