  1. Where is that link that shows the last 10 years the Canucks record of the last 20 games per season? Anyone know?

      It should be noted that season was shortened early because of COVID (and the Canucks were decidedly going in the wrong direction [losing] at the time).

      How many posts have cried about the "fact" that the Canucks have a long history of winning records in their last 20 games each year to screw up their drafts.

       

      Interesting that the reality is - that is just not true.

      I think a couple of winning streaks at the end of the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons helped shape the perception that the Canucks always ruin their draft position by winning late in the year. Thing is, each of those winning streaks were preceded by 7+ game losing streaks, so it was more regressing to the mean than anything.

       

      The Canucks even lost their last 8 games in regulation to finish 2016-17 and still fell three spots in the lottery. Not to say there isn't value in boosting your draft position, but it's always a bit of a crapshoot.
