horses dressed in satin.  i wouldn't stand them waiting at the door. give them some hay and turn them out into field so they can run with the ladies.

      @Chip Kelly

Give me Ryan Merkley in the 2nd. He is literally the 2nd most talented player in the draft

@ReggieBush Doesn't fit the Canucks character guys model.

I'm not familiar with his apparent character deficiencies. He's just not very good at playing defense

  4. What is with websites changing? First AM730 you can't find any traffic info. Now The Weather Network has massive font showing current weather. Have people forgot to provide content to websites?

      Two reasons:

      1) Everything needs to be view-able on mobile. Less content, bigger everything.

      2) They're trying to push you into downloading an app, which makes it easier to harvest marketing information from you.

That's what I figured. Thanks Stealth.

  5. Battle of Chosin, 10/10 My Dad was in the Canadian Signal Corps in Korea. No wonder he rarely talked about his time there. There's a bunch of times I choked up. MacArthur was both a genius and a freaking madman. Both him and Patton had way too much ego. Sort of an American Dunkirk. Glad to hear that 90,000 civilians got out. UN forces almost 18% casualties. Chinese forces suffered 35-40%. Considering they had a 50% manpower advantage. It was appalling that Mao cared so little for his own forces.
  6. Sigh. Could just have used A-4 Skyhawks, and helicopters.
  7. Yes the graphics are primitive by comparison, but the game mechanics were awesome.
  8. I like firearms, but Conservatives ideas are bad (MP's dictating what firearms should be accepted, there's a bribery column right there). I hate the changes the Liberals want make. They won't make anything safer just more paperwork. And paying to buy Trans Mountain Pipeline? NDP is an unknown. Maybe I'll just be a part of the militant arm of the Green Party.
  9. So a question. What if black players held one hand up as a peace/v for victory sign during the national anthem? Would that be offensive? Would the NFL fine teams and players or suspend them for that. After all they are standing. Asking for peace would probably be more productive and send a message with a more positive spin. Or would the No Fun League find that too progressive and not conservative enough?
  10. If you think Vancouver is jinxed for sports check out Phoenix/Arizona. Only the Diamondbacks have won a championship. All the rest Coyotes/Cardinals/Suns have never won.

1915?  I doubt even that old geezer Tony Gallagher was alive back then.:P

Oh Tony Gallagher was there! Criticizing the millionaires, but to say he was alive is something you can't factually say even today, he just is.

Tony was probably upset at Cyclone Taylor playing Rover position.

  11. Will Carter Hart finally be the goalie that Philly needs?

Hart is the goalie the Flyers deserve, but not the one they need right now.

It would have been more hilarious if the Roo stole the ball.

  13. That's because its the same negative yahoos always expect nothing but bad things. - Remember Boeser/Gaudette were gonna bolt.... Yes we may not get the big prize in UFA's but Benning has done a great job at restocking the shelves.
  14. It also might be the kickstart Loui needs to get back on track.
  15. RIP my Delonghi Drip Coffee maker. 10+ years of valuable service. My last cups of coffee with you today.

  16. Maybe Martin Brodeur can be hired to be our goaltending coach? Or is that a step down as AGM in St. Louis? Maybe bring him in to do both?

  19. In 1956, if you took the New York Central 20th Century Limited to Chicago. It averaged 60 MPH, and got you there in 16 hours to go 958 miles. If you took the Santa Fe Super Chief from LA to Chicago also at 60 MPH to go 2227 miles and 36+ hours. If you left on the 20th Century Limited on a Friday. What colour would Marilyn Monroe's dress be?

Not matter how bad our team is next season, I've a feeling it's going to be a lot of fun, especially with character guys like Boeser and Gaudette.

Here's the thing some people miss...bonding as a team is a huge part of having chemistry together on the ice.  You communicate, get to know one another and understand what the guy skating beside you is all about.  You go to bat for each other (well, if someone can pitch!!).  I love these guys and feel like the future's incredibly bright.

    4. Qwags

I've a feeling this team is going to be incredibly likeable.
