  1. Myers and Nikita. You could be onto something there!
  2. Sorry I noticed that later. Thanks for the correction.
  3. I was wondering more if management wants better options as backups in the NHL in case of injury. I guess it depends on what's available.
  4. Well both are UFA's. Silovs will either backup in the NHL or start in the AHL, same goes for Nikita. Unless they sign both of them to be AHL backups?
  5. That's what I'm afraid of. Mind you. LA gambled on Willie Mitchell and it paid off. Calgary gambled on Tanev, and it's also paid off.
  6. I guess that means Martin and Delia will need to find new teams?
  7. Does the Canucks check medical reports on players prior to trades? Or just go "Nah, he'll be fine...."?
  8. I get that, especially with the rough start he had to his pro career. It's great he's doing well in Abby. Let's hope he can take the next step.
  9. I think Calgary has a lot more on the line than Vancouver. So I'm ok with a regulation loss. Now excuse me I have to go have a shower after saying that.
  10. It fits general hockey discussion. So it's all good.
  11. Schenn is a different case. Luke was drafted 5th overall. Was always a stay at home defenceman with some upside. He jumped right into the NHL. Now the question is did the Leafs rush him and should he have spent 2-3 seasons in the minors first? What I find kind of sad, is if we didn't trade him. He probably would have had a chance to meet or beat his previous high of 22 points. Despite Toronto's vaunted offence. He's 0 points and -1 in 8 games in TO. I'd love to see him back if only to help Huggy Bear reach his potential.
  12. He's so all over the map, I have to really wonder if there's any accomplishments. Well, I guess the country didn't fall apart with Covid? And he at least didn't stick his head in the sand and ignore it. I guess that's something. Then he buys a pipeline, then goes overboard on firearms instead of looking at problems like mental illness, illegally purchased firearms, and weapons smuggling. I think he needed to understand, it's ok if some people don't like him. There's going to be no appeasing the other side. Tries to invest in green tech. But does nothing to enforce environmental legislation. He cancels the F-35. Then goes to purchase the F-35 instead of the offer from SAAB that will build some of the components and airframe in Canada, to create jobs. Did nothing to try and keep Bombardier going in the aviation market. Just another useless Canadian politician be it left or right side?
  13. Good news with Young Stars, and Training Camp/Preseason. Hopefully there's lots of higher end competition for jobs.
  14. I'd trade Hoglander for a late 2nd in 2024, and a late 3rd in 2023, if Arizona would bite.
  15. Or they want to put a shopping centre beside it so they can make money off the Practice Facility.
  16. 7th round picks have a 26% chance of playing at least a game in the NHL. So I'd say the lottery odds are far more remote. But I get what you're saying.
  17. I hope he comes over to North America next season. Looks like there will be real competition for our defence. Which would be nice for a change.
