  1. Guardians of the Galaxy. More entertaining than a lot of Star Trek/Star Wars movies. Groot steals the show. 7.5/10

Not bad for a rookie. So maybe folks should give Virtanen the same kind of slack they gave Kassian?
  3. Don't go into Blair Witch with any assumptions, and you'll enjoy it. It plays on your basic fear of the dark. What makes it tough to watch again is the improved dialogue, they should have had more of a script. I also think it would have been more effective if things like cameras failed, they marked a trail, then found multiple marks on the trees, a compass not getting a bearing. The map not going missing but even following it or the river leads them in the wrong direction. Giving it an air of mystery and supernatural, and seeing them do everything right to get out of the situation and still have unexplained things go wrong. That would be really scary.
  4. Dear Jon Stewart,

Come back anytime. No clip on's required.

Didn't realize how much I missed him until I saw him up there again

  5. No idea why. Maybe it's the piano in it.

thx @Green Building I have all 5 seasons of Miami Vice, never checked out Crime Story or LA takedown. Loved Heat, one of my top 5 movies. De Niro vs Pacino in a true crime thriller!  Let's just forget "Righteous Kill" LOL

What are the odds Hulu will make a movie as good as Heat?

The track record on remakes are pretty poor.

  7. But you only get good players in the first round. Am I right? (sarcasm)
  8. Long time ago when we was fab....

But all that changed when the Gillis attacked.

  9. Rocket Men. 5/10 Ok if you only want to watch the US space program. Really general, and ok if you don't know much about the US astronauts and want a decent primer. But no depth, or insight to who these men and women are. Or even the technicians, scientists, engineers. From the Earth to the Moon was better, The Right Stuff took some liberties, but was generally accurate. Long, but entertaining.
  10. There's the concept that it would take one bad check, or one freak injury and it's all over. Graduating college with a degree gives him options and a fallback career. Which is why I never understood why my brother didn't sign with a junior college in California. He could have had a degree, for his four years of football. But in the end it worked out and he's doing what he loves as a contractor. So it's all good.
  11. On a hot summer night would offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?

A few years back (err 25), saw Marvin Aday at The Forge in Victoria. He had met 2 people on the ferry coming over and they were violin players from the Juliart music academy in NYC. Brought them to the show and had them come on stage to play "Dust In The Wind"  EPIC. Wish they had recorded that, I'd have paid for a copy.

  12. http://www.tsn.ca/brady-s-deflategate-appeal-rejected-by-federal-court-1.525956 Can we now move on? His hand was caught in the cookie jar. Far too much was spent on this on both sides. I hope some extra time and money by both the NFL and NFL Players Association is spent on youth football, or the United Way.
  13. They were also a little overboard on saying France is no longer a "superpower". "Oh..yeah...they knocked off Germany..."
  14. Murray: Dis is MY trophy.
  15. How to win hearts and the crowd, nice speech Milos.
  16. Hats off to Milos a lot of tennis players never even get that far. He worked his tail off. Learn from it. Remember it. And kick butt next year.
  17. William and Kate looking cool watching the game.
  18. Milos doing what he can, but Murray is just not letting up. Hard when the crowd is clearly on his side.
  19. "Creativity is the key." - Brock Boeser 2016.

    1. Brad Marchand
