Left wing tree hugger NDP philosophically fight for the environment.  They fight against it just so long as it doesn’t hurt the ballot box results.  That’s being hypocritical.

Tolls provide revenue, and force people to use transit.  It’s a win for the environment to have less vehicles on the roads.  Again, NDP are clearly hypocritical to, on the one hand, fight fir the environment, while encouraging more cars on the roads by removing bridge tolls.

But what purpose does it serve in the long-term if you implement those, don't get re-elected, and then have the new party undo your work (remove tolls, gain approval)? You're back to square one, but without control.

@Alflives I don't agree. While tolls provide revenue, they certainly don't keep people out of their cars and into transit. Most people will pay the tolls (unless there is a back route around them) to have the convenience of door to door delivery of themselves. Transit is viewed as inconvenient. Unless you live and work in your community, there is little incentive to use transit services. I guarantee many people would rather sit in bumper to bumper traffic than take the Skytrain.
