Actually in Italy they pay your rent as a form of social assistance. But you still have to work to pay for food, clothes, etc. That way it cuts down the homeless people.

Maybe some of the taxes they collect from the sale of real estate could go into things like social housing? Maybe make it mandatory for every 20 units you build, you have to contribute one 1 unit of affordable housing? Or applicable percentage?

The issue is what price per month do consider it affordable and will that person take advantage of the affordability by not trying harder.

Federal government settles with multiple First Nations over safe drinking water lawsuits

Ottawa is committing nearly $8-billion to settle two class-action lawsuits from First Nations over unsafe drinking water and to fix water-quality problems on dozens of reserve communities across the country.

Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller announced the agreement in principle on Friday along with the leaders of three plaintiff communities – Curve Lake First Nation, Neskantaga First Nation and Tataskweyak Cree Nation – who expressed cautious optimism for the deal’s potential to end decades of health and social issues on reserves.

“For hundreds of years now, Canada has enjoyed vast wealth while Indigenous people lack access to even the basic necessities of life like drinkable water,” said Curve Lake First Nation Chief Emily Whetung. “Today, we have come one step closer to reconciling this long history.

It's kinda &^@#ed the technology is there to provide them with safe drinking water.you can go on Alibaba and buy water plants for dirt cheap.Im gonna start building my own mobile water treatment plants next year.

Good thing the feds are propsing that 1% foreign buyers tax... that'll really make this go for only 990k over instead of 1 mill over....

That same property I can almost guarantee will be sold later to someone legally for alot more it might even push prices up of the other condos.

got my 1st jab booked for the last day of May. What is the rule about going to get the jab and receiving paid time off to do so? I tried to book the latest appointment possible, which for me was 2:05pm...seemed quite early for last call but each city has different times I assume??

I get mine tomorrow around 3pm I'm on days off but the wife has to take time off work.

If you have two jabs in Nevada no mask is required anymore.
