  1. that's the only thing that would make sense to me. i hope they go with fucale from here on out unless he starts to falter. if the start comrie for any of the remaining games i'll be scratching my head for sure. well, maybe against denmark... should be an easy win.
  2. the americans were chirping all night, and they started the chippy crap from before the opening faceoff. it all escalated from there. but i guess you're going to see it how you want to see it.
  3. also to the guy who said he missed 4 passes, those were in his feet/suicide passes. 98% of NHLers wouldn't get those.
  4. i still don't know why they went with comrie, Fucale has been better IMHO.
  5. easily the most impressive goaltender in the tourney so far. Flams fans must be spitting fire right now.
  6. like domi's line being on the ice for about a minute and a half leading up to their goal last game. then the analysts were talking about the goal they said how amazing it was that domi was on the ice for 15 seconds before leaving the zone, all i saw was that those ice hogs were significantly overstaying their shift time.
  7. Canada wins 1-0 with 70 shots on net, and Virtanen with the goal with .01 seconds remaining in the 3rd :D
  8. it looks like he's trying to find the soft areas of no coverage to get open for a shot
  9. well teams in quebec now speak english in the dressing room and have english speaking players on their roster. not so much back when he was drafted. he didn't hate them, he just wanted to play someplace he could communicate with his teammates/people in the city. I don't know why anyone on the nords would be butthurt about it. that trade was a huge reason why they eventually won the cup (in Colorado)
  10. he's made a number of good saves, especially for what little work he's had.
  11. he'd have to magically get some more pure talent too.
  12. i would have liked to see him pass to mcdavid or fabbri in that 3-1 situation instead of taking a low percentage shot at the beginning of the 3rd last game, but other than that i have no complaints with what i've seen from him. he won't be able to just skate through guys and bowl them over as he goes in the NHL though (at least not at first), but he's a very strong skater he's like a more talented mason raymond without the bambi legs.
  13. once demko and his d-men get used to each other the communication should be better. in BC demko probably normally just settles the puck for his d-man, and that d-man probably is used to his goalie playing it. they both need to communicate better and get on the same page. as for the case of the wondering goalie, there has never been a goalie that has never been caught out of position before. it didn't really concern me, as he made a number of key saves before and after that to make up for it and then some.
  14. d-man needs to be clearer on whether he wants demko to settle it or play it and how much time he has. that was a communication error that led the the fumble and the horribly unlucky double ricochet goal. as a d-man myself, I can say 100% that it was a lack of communication that led to that goal, not a goalie mishandeling the puck.
  15. his defensive game looked fine for what little of it we saw (his line was in the offensive zone nearly the entirety of his time on the ice.)
  16. no, that honor belonged to Sakic. Naslund was a very close second though.
  17. Clearly the Hitmen think that Demko may leave early, though that conditional draft pick may hinge on whether or not that does happen.
  18. and about players who are in a slump, no matter how small
  19. this thread will never move, it will merely be locked or no longer updated. they can start their own thread in CT next season if they don't already have one.
  20. and players we don't immediately sign post draft (subban)
