  1. official listings are always inflated, everyone knows that, but it's still closer than some reporter eyeballing it, especially the weight, which is usually not fudged.
  2. the provice article was just some guys observation who saw rodin standing there, there is nothing even remotely close to official there.
  3. neither of those sites are official, just impressions (province) and an unofficial site that has 1 cm difference from the brynas site (and still does not translate to 6' but just under at 5'11.65"). When either brynas, CDC or NHL.com update their size for him, then it will be official, until then it's just conjecture. but i agree, it's how you play, not what you are.
  4. Brynas has him listed at 5' 11.25" (181cm) and 172 pounds. CDC has him at 5'11" and 174 pounds. people were saying that he was much bigger than those reports at the prospects camp this summer, but I have yet to see any official word on that.
  5. I assume 4+2 means 4 goals and 2 assists (4G 2A in N/A terms)? Rodin's tearing up the SEL preseason, hopefully it continues into the regular season. I'm going to have to scour the interwebs for some sort of free streaming of the SEL... though I think I may know of a place already.
  6. they were, but that was before they started blacking out people outside of BC on the site.
  7. I can't wait for the prospects tourney. hopefully it's available online for those of us not in BC.
  8. you read/heard/remembered wrong. http://www2.canada.com/vancouversun/news/sports/story.html?id=e8061608-f3ff-4ffa-bef8-0b5113a2ca86&k=7839&p=2
  9. Fixed, and no, Cody is NOT a small forward, he's a medium/average forward, not even close to small. Oh and he takes the body when he needs to, but just because he doesn't go out looking for a monster hit, it doesn't mean he's not physical. I'd give you a negative if I had one.
  10. LMAO, this just came on to my wife's ipod touch. Man, now THAT's nostalgia.

  12. Maybe the surgery removed 2 vertebrae?
  13. I was just about to say that myself. he's 1/3 of a foot taller, and they are of similar size? really?
  14. That's a ridiculous lineup. just crazy sick.

  16. I sure hope not, but they wouldn't exactly make him grow taller. I think we need an official update on their height/weight.
  17. Oreskovich is a big winger who could develop into a high end power forward if he finds his hands again (which would be much easier to do playing with Hodgson and Schroeder). That was what he was touted as developing into when he was drafted. I actually really like that trade more and more now.
  18. Sauve and Connauton would remain our top defensive prospects, Rodin and Shirokov would become the top forward prospects
  19. you could eve swap sammy and burr at any time to change things up.
  20. So you make a 3rd post just to say double post? you could have just edited the 2nd one. And I see Raymond as the most expendable of those 4, since the other 3 have higher potentials, despite Raymond being the furthest along in his development. I don't think anyone will be traded though, since Schroeder could easily be sent down (or Hodgson if he is outplayed, which I would be surprised by). Then again, I would not give guaranteed spots to anyone, you have to play your way in to the linup, and that goes for everyone.
  21. If Schroeder makes the team, he does it over Shirokov (and what ever FA's we pick up in the offseason), which is very possible.
  22. First off, Schroeder has been referred to as having some lazy habits this year in MN, he developed some bad habits this year because of the lack of proper coaching, though he seems to have improved from that once he got to the moose, though he may still need a full season to break him of those habits in the long term. this season of him returning to the NCAA turned out to be pretty bad for his development in general, but hindsight is 20/20. as for frustratedfan's opinions, Hodgson couldn't have played for the nucks for the majority of the year, since he was injured. Had he not been injured he might have made the team (most likely would have) but we will never know, so it's useless to speculate about it. Also, as for giving our younger players extended playtime on the team, Schroeder, Hodgson and Rodin, yes, Walsky and Rai? Not yet. Besides, who would you drop from the lineup to slot all these rookies in? When they earn their spot, they will get it.
  23. he could play, since he was canucks property, except for the fact that his contract kicks in starting after this season. I think if we needed him we could sign him to a PTO as well and bring him in, but I'd rather not be forced into that situation (it would me we have a number of injuries and underperformers.
  24. I was watching the nhl, but checked in every now and then on the radio stream. I didn't hear much on schroeder, but shirokov, stasny, and rosa kept popping up as making some good plays.
