  1. Schroeder with an amazing play today, resulting in an assist. I love how this kid drives the net and dangles around the defensemen of the best AHL team in the Western Conference. Nycholat got the goal from his rebound, but Schroeder did all the work.
  2. they get a bonus cushion above the cap though, that they can apply any reached bonuses against the cap in the following year. I think it doesn't apply next year though, due to the CBA ending after the season.
  3. best in the Western Conference, the bears are the best in the league: http://theahl.com/stats/statdisplay.php?type=standings&subType=1&season_id=30&leagueId=4&lastActive=&singleSeason=&confId=0
  4. yeah, it's the same contract and bonus structure as Cody, but just slightly higher in the base salary due to differeing draft year: Cody Hodgson SEASON TYPE AHL SALARY SALARY BONUSES CAP HIT 2009-2010 TWO-WAY $65,000 $875,000 $850,000 $1,695,833 2010-2011 TWO-WAY $65,000 $875,000 $850,000 $1,695,833 2011-2012 TWO-WAY $65,000 $875,000 $850,000 $1,695,833 Jordan Schroeder SEASON TYPE AHL SALARY SALARY BONUSES CAP HIT 2010-2011 TWO-WAY $67,500 $900,000 $850,000 $1,750,000 2011-2012 TWO-WAY $67,500 $900,000 $850,000 $1,750,000 2012-2013 TWO-WAY $67,500 $900,000 $850,000 $1,750,000
  5. Minne took Leddy and... well that Minnesota was idiotic in taking leddy over Schroeder, and now they have neither. The rest of the teams passed because of concerns about his height, which were obviously unfounded.
  6. you COULD have payed to watch the game... or you could have watched it online via other manners as well.
  7. it already ended. if you want to listen to it on the radio you can go to CJOB. There is also online video if you know where to find it. but PM's are the best method of talking about those. (the interview was on CJOB as well)
  8. the highlights will be on the moose website (http://www.moosehockey.com/gameday) schroeder doing his interview right now.
  9. He probably got the same bonus structure as Hodgson, but a higher base salary by 50,000 (due to the differing draft year)
  10. nice. it must have been Andersson I was thinking of.
  11. i thought he had another year left on his contract.
  12. yeah, but I have no idea as to when. Probably after the game or just before?
  13. Depends on what we dog-ear our 3rd line for. If we want to make them the shutdown, maybe not, but it seems like the 2nd has been taking on that role and going against the other team's top line lately. Using the 3rd as a supplementary scoring line with lower minutes could be beneficial, especially if it is stocked with younger players. That being said, i fully expect Schroeder to play a year on the moose.
  14. yes, his NCAA playing days are over now. He'll have a chance to make the nucks in the preseason next year, but odd are he'll be on the moose. Then again, he could surprise us all and play his way onto the team (probably as a winger)
  15. no, he signs with the Canucks and then gets assigned to the moose. It covered in Section 9.1©(i) of the CBA.
  16. well, it was a joke, so yeah. As to the breaking of the "news", numerous people speculated he'd be leaving at the end of the season, very few actually expected him to stay, and this was at the beginning of the season. I'm not saying you don't have "connections" but it's not exactly the most earth shattering news when it's expected by nearly everyone.
  17. no, only reporting to the canucks will burn a year of the contract (and only if he plays 9 games) but there is very little possibility that he reports to the canucks.
  18. You just killed the joke... murderer.
  19. i'd rather pinch an eklund in it's bud before it is able to set root and take over.
  20. wow, you must have the same sources as... well the entire board. Farhan Devji's twitter is great, eh?
  21. Encouraging news about Schroeder. Can't wait to see how he helps the moose.
  22. Yeah, I just don't see him being called up this season unless we start loose 5 in a row or something, or if there are a bunch of injuries. Even then, i think we see Grabner back up before Schroeder this season. if he goes more than 9 games then there goes a year off his rookie contract (playoffs included).
  23. I think the AHL would do him a world of good, and he'll probably play next season there, if he chooses to go pro. He's going to have to regain a work ethic and work on his consistency, but I am confident that he will bloom into a great player with some hard work/mentoring. Hopefully Keane comes back and shows him the ropes. That's something Jordan really needs, a guy who's done it all, a 3 time stanley cup champion, to show him what it takes to make it.
  24. from what I watched of Schroeder, he would have had double the points if he had decent line mates. I'd find it hard to be motivated if I had to play with them as well.
