  1. yeah, it would depend on whether he turns pro, and if the moose play him if he does. if he's playing for the moose, then he is not gonna go to the world championships (plus it depends on who is available for Team USA, i.e. what teams didn't make it.)
  2. no, it's 9 nhl games that burn a year of the contract. if there are less than 9 nhl games the contract gets a 1 season extension until they are 20 years old. from the collective bargaining agreement.
  3. he could leave today if he wanted to void his NCAA eligibility. he'll keep playing until his team is eliminated though, and HOPEFULLY get out of that (now) crappy program and into the moose ASAP. He can go back to university when he's done with hockey (if he wants)
  4. it's weird how they have a 3 hour delay. and yeah, schroder can opt to leave the ncaa at the end of the season and sign a ELC with the canucks and play on the moose. if won't burn up a year of it as long as he doesn't play more than 9 game in the NHL, so he can play on the moose all he wants.
  5. up to date stats. Name GP G A Pts +/- Jordan Schroeder 32 8 19 27 -2 Taylor Matson 20 2 3 5 +5 Patrick White 34 9 7 16 -2
  6. yeah, he brought it in his luggage, but I don't think they were ever delivered.
  7. Really? Cause you'd be the only one. Perhaps you are thinking of White? And Jordan was always an offensive threat. It's why we drafted him.
  8. except white was never supposed to be a top couple round pick, and never had as promising of a future as Schroder. 2 games left in the regular season. they are not going to jump up 8 spots unless they win both games 8-0 (or something insane like that). Given that they are playing Wisconsin (#3) I think that it is almost a forgone conclusion that it will not happen.
  9. Nothing would delight me more than for this to happen. Just imagine Schroeder and Hodgson ripping up the AHL. Thisr boost just might save that team's playoff hopes. And yeah, since the Gophers are not ranked right now (not even receiving a single vote in the latest pole), they would never make the Frozen four playoffs without winning their tourney (which is fairly unlikely considering they have to play against a number of high ranked schools). they are currently sitting 7/10 in the WCHA, and would have to play Minnesota Duluth in the first round. A team that is ranked # 12 right now and who they have a record of 1-2-1 against.
  10. I'm creaming at the possibilities. Samuelsson in place of Hansen would be equally, or even more, fluid inducing.
  11. Schroeder with 2 assists and was +1 today in a 7-4 win. I'm surprised they beat the #8 ranked team twice this weekend.
  12. Schroeder puts minnie up 2-0 with a good crease presence goal.
  13. Yeah it's very reassuring, especially since they will probably develop on the 3rd line at first.
  14. Schroeder is impressing so far. he saved a goal in his own end and if his line-mates had some finish he would have had at least 2 assists already. the announcers can't stop singing his praise. he has great hockey sense; plays a very smart game.
  15. yeah, it's about time. oh, the one on saturday is a repeat of the friday night game. the saturday game doesn't start until an hour and a half past the air time.
  16. last week they had off, this week they played the #2 ranked team in the league. The gophers are not even ranked, because they suck so hard. http://www.uscho.com/rankings/?data=uscho1m&week=poll
  17. yes, yes they do. they outshot Denver 45-31 but still lost 3-1.
  18. holmstrom is listed as exactly 6 feet. i doubt he's shrunk over the last 2 years.
  19. Gillis was a player agent leading up to the draft, so he most likely was scouting a number of top level rookie players himself to try to pick up future clients. It would make sense as to why he would have been responsible for the top 2 picks, since he probably knew about the players already.
  20. notes from the combine: http://thehockeywriters.com/9-jordan-schroeder-the-hockey-spy%E2%80%99s-2009-nhl-entry-draft-rankings/ NHL.com combine results: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=424418
  21. alternatively: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Raymond - Kesler - Grabner Schroeder - Hodgson - Bernier/Samuelsson/Hansen
  22. Both Hodgson and Schroeder could play wing; Schroeder would be especially suited to the wing. I don't see us needing to, nor wanting to, trade Kesler in the future (especially since he also can play wing quite adeptly).
  23. I wouldn't expect too much more growth. maybe another inch or less. If he has taller people in his family then he may keep growing as late as age 25, but he probably only has another 1-2 years of growth left, and slow growth at that.
  24. Schroeder was listed as 5'9" and 187lbs at the world juniors this year. http://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/205/IHM2050USA_32E_2_0.pdf He was 5'8" 175 at the summer training camp this year (and that's what he's listed as on CDC. http://canucks.nhl.com/club/roster.htm?type=prospect His college page lists him as 5'9" 180 lbs. http://www.gophersports.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=8400&SPID=3322&SPSID=38856 I think he may have grown a little, since the 2 most up to date listings have him at 5'9"
