  1. no games this weekend. it's their off weekend.
  2. There was a WHOLE lot of negativity at the beginning of the season (moreso that usual) because of hodgson not making the team and the canucks getting off to a slow start. I'm confident that tainted peoples opinions at that time. It's hilarious to call them out now though. What were they thinking? Also, here are the expanded stats for the 2 canucks prospects and the former first round question mark. Name GP G A Pts +/- Jordan Schroeder 26 7 16 23 +1 Taylor Matson 19 2 3 5 +5 Patrick White 28 7 6 13 -4
  3. seriously, he need to leave the NCAA at the end of the season.
  4. he assisted on the gopher's only goal last night in their 2-1 loss. still picking up the points.
  5. the game SHOULD be available soon on this page: http://portal.gci.net/gcisports/uaa_hockey_schedule though it looks like they are about a month behind in posting the games (this is only for Alaska's games)
  6. images borrowed from Canucks.com and Vancouver2010.com
  7. he's back from mora and in the SEL right? good for him.
  8. to be clear, i knew it was either the tips or the giants but forgot which one, hence the 50% chance.
  9. oh yeah, Everette, not Vancouver own the rights. I couldn't remember which one so i took a shot. it was 50/50
  10. she can come with him. That's what she said!
  11. He could technically join the giants or moose at any time, but it would void his NCAA eligibility instantly. If he feels like dropping out right now he could join either team instantly. If he doesn't end up going back to university next year I hope he makes the choice sooner rather than later so he could help the moose in the playoffs.
  12. good for him! snagged him a college hottie.
  13. 1G 5A +2 in 4 games since WJC. He's on fire (finally). i don't know if it's the gold medal experience, an entire team turn around, or him finally getting comfortable on his crappy team, but either way it's nice to see consistent points.
  14. he's got a lot of speed, great with the puck, and makes some killer passes. Sweden is extremely tight defensively and clogged the passing lanes for everyone all night, limiting Schroeder's passes, but he still handled the puck very well (though there were times when he really should have shot from high % areas, but tried to pass instead). You guys are just looking for stuff to complain about now.
  15. he sure can dangle and, to quote McGuire, "stick handle in a phone booth". The kid's gonna be good. Is this his last season under contract in Sweden? I forget if he has another year or not.
  16. Schroeder actually played a great game against Canada, best of the tournament so far for him. It's nice to see that he steps it up in big games. He should have tried something different on the shootout though (though I'm glad he didn't). The kid is gonna be a beast, espescially if his linemates could learn to finish. he's a great setup man.
  17. pre-tourney games don't count. 6 points in 2 games.
  18. Cormier deserves to be suspended, and i hope they review and suspend him for the entire tourny. That being said, Sweden should have shook hands, it's good sportsmanship and I've shaken hands at the end of a game with people who have hit me from behind, cross checked me in the face, and sticked me in the cup. You have to show that you're the bigger man in the end.
  19. his actual statement was that it will be on a year to year basis on how long he will stay in the NCAA. he heavily implied that he would be open to leaving next season.
  20. he has none, good team player, good leader. sounds like a kid with his feet firmly planted on the earth. Oh, and he has the only assist on the gophers 1st goal tonight. it's 1-1 with 12:23 left in the first.
