  1. I mean, with the McDavid signing, you would have to think that Horvat and his agent would argue that he is worth at least half of what McDavid's value is. Obviously McDavid is top 1% talent, but Horvat could definitely argue he's worth at least half of that cap hit of $12.5M. Otherwise his agent could say, well, you think Bo is worth less than half of McDavid?

I don't know where I'm going with this but I feel like McDavid's contract isn't going to do any other teams any favours.

The Zelda game looks cool but I'm not spending $400 on the console to play it lol I wish they'd make it for PS4 eventually

That's what I did....I wanted to play Zelda that bad.

Although, it's not like I threw down $400 just to play Zelda. I invested in the future games I'd be playing, like Mario Odyssey, Metroid Prime, etc etc etc.

Looks like the kid needs some of Jake's summer '16 diet.

Super skinny, but crazy skilled.. shoot for the moon, Elias, we need you to be great!

Hopefully the twins can combine their powers into one and transfer it to the new Swedekin. Go Canucks!

If anyone can show Pettersson and Dahlen the ropes, it's the Sedins. The twins were always those guys that people call soft, but in reality, they haven't been for a long time. They take a beating out there and still make sick plays. Sure, they don't go making hits themselves, but they take a ton of hits, slashes, etc and still keep the puck.

    He's 18.........

Yeah, seriously. The 150lbs thing is a non-issue right now. We didn't pick him to play in the lineup next season. He's 18 and has tons of time to gain some muscle, especially with NHL professionals guiding his training.

Of course when Cody Glass is available and is seen as someone similar to Mark Scheifele, who is a 1st line center, then I'd want Benning's head if Glass pans out and Petersen only becomes a 2nd line center

But Pettersson has been compared to Nik Backstrom, who is also a 1st line center.

Yeah I really like that aspect too, you can do the Divine Beasts in any order or just ignore them entirely and activate a bunch of Shrines to get your hearts up. Its fun going after monster camps or just climbing a random cliff and seeing what's at the top. I spent a lot of time collecting ingredients and fooling around trying to cook things too, its a lot more rewarding than trying to do the same in real life... probably because it costs nothing and only takes a few seconds of things bouncing around in a pot to actually make something.

Yeah, for real. If only I had the same enthusiasm for cooking in real life that I do in Breath of the Wild....

Picked up Mario Kart 8 Deluxe yesterday. I never bought the Wii U so I didn't play the regular version of 8 but I love the game so far, can't wait to get some online matches in once I become more familiar with the tracks and kart setups.

I took a break from Zelda for a while but picked it back up recently and am almost done the game.... I think. I've done three of the four Divine Beasts, at least. Then again, the world's so expansive that it seems like you could keep playing forever, there's so many little side quests and areas to explore that I haven't even touched yet. Its a lot of fun just roaming around and seeing what you stumble upon instead of following a linear plot.

Yeah, it's one of those kinds of great games where you don't even need to touch the main storyline to have a ton of fun. I know people say the same for games like The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, etc, but it's just different with Breath of the Wild. You can go off and do whatever you want, and you're not limited or need a secret weapon from a dungeon to access certain parts. You can go anywhere right at the start, really. At least after you do that tutorial-ish area.

The Canucks did indeed put him through the league substance abuse program, it didn't click. It wasn't until he crashed a leased truck into a telephone pole in Montreal with passengers with him and the subsequent jettisoning from the Habs team that the need to clean up his life finally seemed to click.

People without any knowledge are the kind who think Kassian "could" have been here until now. Zach just wasn't going to cut it here, and needed a big change. Even after Montreal, he still had life problems to deal with. It took a lot for him to finally turn a corner. I'm glad he's finally finding his way in Edmonton.

People are acting like we traded a big piece for nothing, but Canucks Kassian wasn't Oilers Kassian, and never was going to be.

There are emerging reports of Nintendo Switch's overheating and warping while running full speed in their docks.  Of course though, Nintendo fanboys are working overtime trying to pretend that it's not happening.  It may be a good idea to buy a case fan and rig up a way to slap it on the dock.

Yeah, I read something about that on Reddit the other day. Sad to hear.

I mean, mine's fine for now, but I imagine that I haven't played nearly as much as a lot of people have. I haven't played since Mass Effect came out..I decided to take it one game at a time. Finish ME:A first.

No advertisement, just appreciation for an amazing series:

I look forward to the remake of 12 this summer.

I really loved XII, but I'm not sure I'll be getting it. I played the &^@# out of it back in the day on the PS2, and although I loved it, it wasn't the same love as FFX for me. FFX Remaster I bought right away, but I don't know. This one I'm unsure about. Maybe since it'll be the summer I'll grab it.

Just right now I've been on a video game binge with all the games coming out recently, like Zelda and Horizon, and For Honor. Then in a week I'll be getting Mass Effect. Too many at once.

  11. Found a Switch out in Surrey Best Buy. Best Buy restocks on Tuesdays and Saturdays so I tried my hand yesterday and got the last one in the afternoon.

Played Zelda for like 5 hours already and it didn't crash like my Wii U, so I'm happy.
