Do they shut down the NHL 20 servers once 21 comes out? Just started getting into world of chel in 20. This mode is actually alot of fun & I didn't even realize it. Don't really want to pay full price for the new game.

    No, they leave them up.

  3. Anyone surprised by this voting result, I don't really know what to tell you. Everyone report by analysts had it going this way before the vote even happened.

I mean, Makar on paper looks pretty damn good beside Hughes. It could have gone either way. To a lot of voters, I'd assume that the numbers do most of the talking, especially east coasters who don't watch a ton of Avs/Canucks games. Makar had more goals in less games, and a higher points per game.

While we all would have loved a deep dive by the voters into why Hughes should have been voted over Makar, it just wasn't going to happen. It could have gone both ways and we should be happy that Hughes had 53 1st place votes.....that's more than I expected from the vote.

Tbh that's a great list of features they added. I'm excited for it.

Also, damn, I'm actually surprised at those added stats at the bottom. Penalty kill clears? Penalties drawn? Those are some awesome stats to scout EASHL players with, or just keep track of your own guy. Never would have expected they would add those.

I'm just curious how accurate those stats will be.

  5. Talk about penalty calls and everything else all you want, but the Canucks had their chances to seal this game.

Up 3-2, they had 2 PPs where they generated little to no offense. Then there was that point blank Virtanen chance later on as well, on top of Gaudette missing more than a few.

Like JT said in the post-game, they just gotta focus on next game. Take it one game at a time. It's a steep, uphill battle from here on out. It's possible, but it's going to be very tough. Vegas is a giant of a team and has had Vancouver's number for the majority of every season.

Was contemplating getting back into the consoles gaming.

    Traditionally a PS fan.

Last consoles bought were PS3 and XBox360 and Nintendo Switch.

No love for the new Xbox console?

I hear it has better overall specs than PS5.

Don't expect to do much MMORPG, probably just single player or co-op.

    Advice??

Exclusives>>>specs, but I also think Xbox lost some confidence with their last console.

The general consensus right now for sure is that Playstation 5 is the way to go . At least in general. Their release lineup of exclusives, plus unannounced exclusives that are obviously like God of War 2, etc are just far better than Xbox's showing. Then Xbox had the whole Halo Infinite thing happen where their gameplay looked like of bland and they delayed it. That's a major kick to the nuts for Xbox.

But will Red Dead Redemption 2 and BF1 run on Playstation 5?

    Must know before I buy.

You can play any PS4 game on the PS5. It's fully backwards compatible to PS4. Although you may know that already considering your question is a month old.

Hope Toffoli can get back this series.  More cup experience won't hurt vs the defending champs.

I don't like the back to back games 3 and 4.  Fine if nux win game 3.  What if it goes 4OT?

The back to back thing isn't super relevant considering it's both teams. Zero travel, staying in the same city. Both teams are in the same boat.

How many games did Allan play during last year’s Cup run

no such thing as 1 and 1A in the playoffs. That concept does not exist

they wanted us, deal with it

You can't base one playoff performance on everything. Even you should know that Allen not playing a game during the run doesn't mean he won't during this run.

Both Binnington and Allen are great goaltenders. Whoever takes those reins and runs with them will get the starts. You're probably right, it will likely be Binnington.

All I'm saying is that Binnington played like crap in their 2nd round robin game, so they played Allen in the 3rd one.

Would you put in your backup in a game where losing meant you had to play a team that scared the crap out of you?

    thought so

    fact

Thought so? You never got an answer from me.

It depends on who you think the backup is. St Louis is more of a 1A and 1B goalie type of team.

Binnington has played twice the games, but has lesser numbers than Jake Allen during the season. Allen's 0.927 vs Binnington's 0.912 save percentage.

Binnington played the first 2 round robin games. He played horribly in the second one against Vegas, so they went with Jake Allen against Dallas.

  12. I mean, of all matchups, I really like this one.

The reason I like it though is because they're the defending champs. Nobody is really expecting the Canucks to go anywhere far this year, so just using this as a measuring stick will be a great thing for our young team. If they manage to beat these defending champs, then even greater to have that boost of confidence moving forward.

Canucks seemed to do fairly well against St Louis during the season for whatever reason. Dallas is one our team had a lot of problems with defensively. Although, St Louis is obviously built for the playoffs, and they had their amazing record this season without Tarasenko...and now they added him in.

I don't really know what to think of STL's round robin games. They didn't win a single one. I didn't watch them, although reading comments from Blues fans has many of them thinking that Canucks will beat them.

This is going to be interesting. STL is tough, but the Canucks showed against MIN that they won't back down and they will fight back physically.

I remember playing GT on ps1 or ps2 doing endurance races that were like two hours.  After an hour you could drive blindfolded.  What was the op car again?  The Escudo(SP?)

    Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version

Yeah that was the one, launched like a rocket off the line.

    Daaaaaamn I remember that $&!#.

While this is true that anything can happen, i hate this kings example. That team was loaded, and were under performing. Once they turned it on in the games leading up to the playoffs you could see that they were very very dangerous.

If I recall, they were injured a lot as well as underperforming. It's definitely a good story to talk about an 8th placer to win a cup, but LA was a cup favourite for a lot of people before the season started.
