Looks like Petey and Huggy are still playing hurt -

A team like this was dominated by a team like that -
Just bring in Mark Messier as coach, GM and Pres and all of their problems will disappear...

2nd time....Dealing with the media must suck after a game like this, but it may do him good to be honest about his performance in the media. IDK just reaching but somethings gotta change here. he is a key to our success. -

Hope we play Demko against TO. He is an elite tender that needs more ice time to pull it together. if we continue to string him along rotating with Martin it will just take more time for him to find his game. With out Demmer playing the way he can, we'll just hover outside a playoff spot. For better or worse we should go with the horse we had last year and let the chips fall where they may. -
He's been pretty candid since the day he arrived so I think his attitude is if that pisses someone off, it usually will motivate them as well. If it doesn't he has his master plan anyway which likely doesn't include BB. Same with his comment on Horvat, if we can't afford to sign him at least we know his trade value is rising. More business like, less coddling? if it converts to wins, I'll happily jump on that bandwagon. If the players and coaching staff take their frustrations with JR out on the opposing team, perfect.

Entertaining game! 4-1-1 is a good turn around after our start and we could be in a playoff position tonight with in win. unreal. Garland had a real strong game and who are our top +/- ? Mikheyev (speed) and Schenner(tough) both 'hard to play against'... i think JR mentioned that attribute once or twice. Bear has been a nice additional. Not perfect but thought OEL and him were a good pairing previously. Would like to see Burroughs in over Rathbone just to shore our defensive game. or dare I say sit Myers.... -

Quite sure OEL is playing hurt, with his maintenance day taken. I wish they would just take him out for a week or two if that helps, and bring in Burroughs for now. Long term solution. -

Petey... wow, that was his best game as a Canuck IMO. Not just 5 points but both ends of the ice and chance after chance. 111 point pace. Yep, we have a superstar on our roster! Now if everyone else can defend we got this. -

Aquaman needs to be a healthy scratch then. He's well paid on a long term deal but his impatience with the puck and defensive coverage needs work -

Everyone including Linden handled the Sedin situation poorly which in turn has caused 4-5 extra years of anguish, by loyally trying to be competitive with wasted contracts for Eriksson, Sutter, Beagle, Roussel etc... And now another 4 years later, the frustration is at a boiling point. But, its too late since we have OEL and Miller here long term. Trading Horvat while his value's this high seems to be the best option to shore up our D and find a 2nd-3rd line center that wont cost 7m / year. Hughes / Petey / Demko won't be moved and outside of Garland, the rest are all under achieving making it difficult to get any decent return. Bottom line is most of the players we have are totally under achieving and its not the coach, so a key piece must be moved unless we go on a winning streak starting tomorrow. -

Agreed, but also our defensive system has been broken for years so even if we get the top 4 dream D man, we need way more structure to our game I'd rather win 2-1 then lose 5-4 -

OEL is obviously playing hurt which is hurting the team. He was easily our 2nd best D man last year. Shelf him or at the very least split him and Myers up. The positive on D was Bear. Considering this was his first game, he was moving the puck, skating well and defending pretty good, considering he didn't know whatever the heck kind of system we are deploying. Hughes Schenn Burroughs Bear Stillman/Rathbone- Myers
