  1. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon you." AMEN BROTHA ...
  2. Yeah absolutely, it was a tough call and he's a good player for any team to have. Unfortunately we seem to have this habit of re-signing everyone because of this reason without having a masterplan of where they are going to play. We have to get away from taking on players just because we can get them cheap or we feel we need to get more out of them then when we got them. That directly contradicts MG's statements that this is a fluid league and you need to be fluid. You can't be fluid if you're forced to keep every item you've ever purchased.
  3. I would like to see Hansen moved because he is so redunant it's not even funny. That's why he ends filling whatever spot isn't taken by anyone else. Kassian can play his postion, Burrows can play it, Mattias can play it, Santo can play when healthy. We also have Horvat, Gaunce, and Jensen there. MG should concentrate on strengthening the top 2 lines before he worries about having 4 back up third liners in caes of injury. In all fairness to Torts Hansen hasn't lived up to his own biling this year either. It's got to be tough on any coach in this league when Jannick Hansen is relied upon as a first and second liner. Utter hypocrisy I say. If MG had a half a forecaster's brain he would have traded Jannick when his value was high. As it is we won't get much for him but he should be moved so people with higher ceilings and upside and be inserted in the line-up by the coach. A 2nd/3rd rounder, or package him in a Kesler or other trade to increase value. He could also be traded for a back-up goalie if we are going to need one next year. Key thing is to move him out and free up that 2+ mil in salary. He is really only good as a starting 3rd line RW, and we don't need that right now. He's more of a roadblock than anything right now because he's ineffective on the fourth line, and he's overpriced there.
  4. Nice ... good luck! I bet on NFL, I'm too emotionally invested in hockey to make good decisions.
  5. You forgot the Canucks Rangers ... closer to $300.
  6. This is it exaclty, the team has been in decline for 3 years straight. AV would have been in tough this year. He might have gotten a bit more out of the team being that he has worked with them for 6 years, but not much. We needed change and couldn't do much playerwise last offseaon.
  7. That's also what Tort's said in game 30 games into this season. All of the sudden he's been looking at the scoreboard for a month straight by his own admission.
  8. Put a Sport Select down. You'll be rich.
  9. These arguments we get into here are radically delusional. It's funny to see the "heart and soulers" trying to explain how lower draft picks are just as good as higher picks. Of course they are. Like what the heck ladies and gentleman. We are collectively losing our minds.
  10. Haha, it will be a sad day for some when their war against logic and discrete mathematics are lost and in shambles.
  11. Wow, Minny better watch out. Dallas has two games on them. Or will after tonight down 3-0 to St.Louis.
  12. Torts is just sending Jensen a message. You aren't guaranteed to start on the top line.
  13. Didn't we play good last game, why change everything up?
  14. You we're getting called out yesterday, gettting called a troll, etc., for having valid questions and comments just because you weren't screaming and yelling and crying about the injustice. It was really sad to see. Your points were well thought out and objective but because you didn't join the mob everyone wanted to lynch you. Sometimes you can't have a reasonable conversation on this board. If it's about reffing, Burrows, Bieksa, GM MG, or the like you are not allowed to be critical in any fashion ... unwritten board rules. Oh yeah, every comment must be phrased as if the Canucks have won the SC 15 times in a row. They are the best, always have been the best, do not question that ... don't you dare.
  15. I'm not trying to start something because I didn't see it that many times or read through this thread but didn't his shoulder and jersey show movement (in the back indicating force) before the head or am I missing something?
  16. I think you may be mistakenly subtracting 20 from 30 to get 10.
  17. Yeah I was rethinking that idea. How about 2 minutes for something ridculously blatant and a minute for a mistake like trying to hit the glass but I like the minute idea though. If you're that good where you can dump the puck and absorb 1 min PP's ... I guess good for you.
  18. Count the teams backwards ... we're in 11th last but I keep hearing we're in 10th. Can someone clear this up?
  19. haha, they should just go back to referee's discretion. There might have been a couple controversial calls here and there but for them most part you know if a guy is purposely dumping it out to relieve pressure. Certainly far more injustices than the way it is now. That's what I would do. It worked fine until a team got beat in the playoffs because of it one time. Remember that one year recently though there were about 25-30 calls in the first couple series?
