  1. Peter is a stud. I remeber him getting the silver with Kass i think but he was better than I thought. Niedermerer like.
  2. Chicago are a riffraff team. Clean the chickens out of the corner every play, play your checks, play it up the boards, and score on your 4-5 chances.
  3. Out on a limb. Blues in 6. They are going to play like they can win. They are tougher if they have their guys. Watch Blues rookies play like Gold while ours can even see the ice in regular season. Says a lot about our GM. Not our current one.
  4. Ahhhh, I hear ya loud and clear. I actually didn't care one way or the other because I'm not one of those children that get off on toughest hockey team BS they're one my best friend's team. Now that we're older I actually try to cheer for them. It's kind of hard but i can almost lie to myself. Anyways GO FLYERS. For what's is worth with the stupid announcers. I'm pretty sure Martin St.Louis is going to show up. Dolts.
  5. Why do you say that, the goonery? They have made the playoffs 80% of the time the last 10 years though, how you figure?
  6. That's the whole gist of it though. The reason the twins never had success is not due to chemisty. It's because we lined them up with crappy players like we have their whole careers and they're getting older now. I'm not saying your entirely wrong all I'm saying is that drafting a guy because of his chemistry reeks of bad planning and desperation. You get to pick out of 100's and 100's of players and the reason you choose a guy is because a guy who isn't and hasn't currently been able to make the team played junior with him at one point? Okay then. I would agree hey it's nice if it works out but it shouldn't even enter the equation for those making the decision. It's nice but a super flimsy idea to make a pick based on. Out of all the players drafted each year how many do you think are based on chemisty?
  7. That's why I say they should be higher. Would have been really close this year and next year their youth is one more year experienced and they should pick up a goalie. Anyways pretty risky to give away a 5 pick for possibly something next year. That would be like us trading our 6th to Winnipeg for the their first next year. In fact it's the definition of risk. I guess they can do it but they are either heros or they are going to look very stupid and I just don't see many teams throwing their draft picks around like candy. Who knows though. It's the Islanders.
  8. I think they'd have to be crazy. They should be close to a playoff team next year. Why on earth would you trade a 5 pick for a 12 pick, unless of course you're an extreme gambler and want ride your <2% of winning McDavid? That would be pretty dumb though I think.
  9. Just heard on team 1040 from Linden that all of CDC must agree on our 6th round pick or it will be forfeited. Also, following the hype here and while Ritchie may have a unique skillset the reason people are worried is because youth players that are overly big usually have a hard time adapting. 235 lbs if accurate is huge for a kid. If a kid is this good at his size he should be the consensus # 1. He'd be more valuable than McDavid so definitely some bust possibility there. And finally who keeps trying to trade Kesler for a 10th round pick in this year's draft. Trading a player based on who their junior partner is should only be used if you are absolutely on the fence and you don't have a coin to flip. The chances of two players ending up together on the same line in the NHL is very slim, and chemistry isn't that important. Unless of course you exect them to become the next Gretzky Kurri combo or something. You might as well pick the player that looks best in blue and green.
  10. Reminds me of Linden for some reason. He seems like a good kid.
  11. Linden will try to find a good character guy like himself. They'll bring these guys in for a couple interviews and find a fit.
  12. I think a lot of people of are getting carried away with the strength of the draft. I don't really think hanging on to the pick is very good odds for hitting the lottery. Of course that's when it happens and bye bye Connor.
  13. The Isles would be dumb to give it up. With Tavares healthy and another year for the youth to develop they should be a bubble playoff team at worst and end up with no better than the 10th pick.
  14. As it stands he hasn't brought that much to make him that valuable. I would do that in a heartbeat if that was the upgrade.
