  1. This actually makes it much worse then no one doing anything about it during the game.
  2. I hope so. Nothing warms my heart like the triple crown of hockey: 1. Crying Leaf players and management 2. Crying Leaf loving media 3. Crying leaf fans Its Chicken Soup for the Soul: Center of the hockey universe edition
  3. I think both. Hamonicwas uncharacteristically pinchy tonight though which didnt help. He made a bunch of bad reads just like Hughes. That was our worst pairing easily.
  4. If the Leags lose again in the 1st round I will literally ask for nothing from Santa this year. So arrogant. Almost everyone on their team has a punchable face.
  5. I was never the biggest fan of Bieksa but I find it hard to believe if he was on the ice he would not have tuned up a Laffs star player as payback for that $&!#. Probably would have fought Simmonds too.
  6. He tries to do too much and they rely on him too much. Tonight I dont think it helped that Simmonds clobbered Edler. Speaking of which, its interesting to me that a player can be thrown out of a game and suspended 2 games for it yet a big goon can attack a non fighter to "answer the call" with not so much as an instigation penalty. I am betting Edler is now injured from that fight.
  7. I thought Virtanen had a decent game. Lind too. Almost everyone else was really off though. No sense of offensive or defensive cohesiveness at all. And the pasing and puck handling......honestly they are just brutal right now.
  8. Hughes was terrible in all 3 zones tonight. He looks like a game off wouldnt hurt him. Give Rathbone a game. Edler-Schmidt Rathbone-Hamonic Juolevi-Myers
  9. He has been solid from what i have seen. Definitely not a reason for this $&!# effort
  10. Anyone else thinking it might be ok to rest Hughes next game and put Rathbone in?
  11. Their coach said his conditioning wasnt quite back up to peak level after covid so it makes sense they took it slow with him. Plus they traded a healthy scratch for him so they didnt open a roster spot like Van did.
  12. Lol true. But if the team was actually a cup contender it would hurt far less.
  13. Yes but hoglander dogged it on that backcheck. If that was Virtanen or Gaudette we would hear all about it.
  14. Hughes out of position, Horvat makes a mistake, Hoglander dogs it on the backcheck.
  15. I think he is a 5 out of 10. Average coach. Does some things ok struggles with others. I think Baumgartner is a 0 and Brown is a 1. They definitely drag down Green but his systems and some of his decisions just dont seem to fit the roster he has. He is pretty stubborn too and gives vets far too much leeway to play with no urgency with no consequences.
  16. Its getting some of the young players into the lineup consistently to show that they can be better than the vets that has been a problem.
