Just because i disagree with someone else's opinion doesnt mean I think they dont have a right to have it. I dont take it personally when I get insulted on a personal level. Once in awhile i will strike back at the guys who cant separate getting personal with arguing opinions but i try most of the time to just ignore the personal stuff. The guy who put me on ignore cant seem to accept differing opinions and resorts to trying to siggest I am stupid or ignorant or a sociopath. I am glad he is ignoring me. That kind of stuff doesnt make his argument better.

Seven years without a clear plan from Canucks brass.

Why Benning was even considering OEL is beyond me. -
Actually life is great. Retired in my late 40's, lots of time to spend with the wife and kids, coach hockey, and build stuff in my shop. Not sure why you think I am a conspiracy theory clown but nope i believe in vaccines pal. The team played like $&!# against Vegas. Demko playing like a god was literally the only reason they won those games and got as far as they did. Very few others actually played well and the Canucks were absolutely dominated in most areas of the game on that series. They did get lucky to get in. Without the shut down and play in I doubt they would have even made it. And Minny was decidedly average so beating them wasnt a huge accomplishment. The team played pretty well against STL but its not like STL played well. Therecis a difference between being lucky and being competitive. As we have seen all too many times this season, theCanucks are not a consistent, competitive team.

Neither of those teams have won anything though. The Canucks could have had either of those players if they were truly committed to a rebuild at the time. Drafting is one part of team building. An important one for sure. But good teams dont rely on getting the 1st overall pick. They do a lot of other stuff too to plan for sustained success.

Pretty lukewarm about keeping Green. I dont think he is the guy to take this team to the next level but looking at some of the roster he has to work with its hard to put all the blame on him. Baumgartner and Brown getting re upped will bother me a lot more. Both are terrible. This team will not likely be a true contender under Benning. He bears most of the responsibility.

Haha thats awesome. Not sure I have ever been called a sociopath liar on here. For having a different opinion than a simpleton like you who has no ability to think critically or objectively. I am sure thats going to bother me endlessly. You just said you hate on players as retaliation for people hating on Benning. I simply said thats idiotic. I dont hate Benning. I just think on the balance he is a crappy GM.

Its possible for sure. Just not likely that no other team would have offered more than they got at any point. Benning seems like a paralysis by analysis kind of guy. He himself has admitted he runs out of time to get things done. I would bet they had better offers that he still didnt consider good enough at the time.

I dont hate Benning. Criticizing him does not equal hating him. When he does things well I give him credit. When he doesnt I criticize him. You present it that Gaudette has no redeeming qualities at all as a player. That is unrealistic, untrue, and just straight up hate. And really, hating on a player to try to defend a GM is just straight up childish.

I watched his first game as a Hawk. There was good and bad in there for sure. I get it. You think Gaudette is garbage. I think he has lots of work to do but was also utilized improperly by the Canucks. Not every player can fit any role. Gaudette as a 3rd line c was an ill fit from the start. Tou call other people haters yet you are the one who hates Gaudette. Thats interesting.
