  1. He was actually pretty bad at fumbling the puck and messing up zone entries. He got a couple of goals but still wasn’t really all that good tbh. Better, but not nearly as good as he was his first season.
  2. The same issues with coaching still apply though. No adjustment to the PP, the PK still a tire fire even though we got told Hamonic would be it’s saviour, and 7 min for a young guy who scored a goal and played really well. The team may have saved Greens job but Green didn’t.
  3. Can’t wait for all the posts about how great a coach Green is now because we won a game lol.
  4. Garland and Podkolzin. Green must be losing his mind. Can’t wait to see Podz get benched now.
  5. You do know that GM’s don’t rely on what the media thinks or says when it comes to trading for players, right?
  6. Why can’t people be disappointed in how some players are playing AND in how terrible our coaching is?
  7. How exactly does the media reporting something harm the teams potential? Do you also want the team to not harm its potential in things like trades? Because how they treat players and utilize them has far more impact on that than a media story. So does trading them for nothing.
  8. I will do so as soon as I know definitively it wasn’t in any way accurate. Which I don’t know. Unlike most here, I probably will eventually hear more about it but haven’t yet.
  9. I think Horvat might be the best net front guy we have. Would love to see Podkolzin get a shot playing that role to see if he can carve out a PP role.
  10. Bailey-Lammikko-Motte would be a good 4th line when Motte is back. No reason to keep Chiasson in the lineup at that point. It’s not like they don’t have enough PP options. All 3 of those 4th liners should be able to PK.
  11. The problem is people can’t accept any criticism of the Canucks and particularly Benning and Green. Let’s be fair though. There are a ton of examples where criticism through the media is warranted. The media plays an important role in accountability actually. Without the media we would not ever get anything close to the truth actually. People may hate them but they are an important part really. My only complaint about the Vancouver media is they actually coddle the team, the GM, and the coach far too much.
  12. How many times have you personally posted anything here calling out Benning or the Canucks for their bias or their spin or their manipulation of the truth? Thats a legit question. Because if the answer (as I expect) is none, then who really has the bias? I have called out the media on here when they step over the line. I just don’t think everything they report steps over the line even if it’s negative about Benning or the Canucks.
  13. That the media has some high level bias and agenda but the team does not in every reported situation. Its ridiculous really.
  14. Funny that you didn’t answer my question. Because there is only one correct answer and it doesn’t fit your narrative.
  15. What do you think bringing in the Sedins was? A cheap stunt from ownership/management perspective. The Sedins could turn out to be good executives but they were brought in for the wrong reasons just like Linden. No one should expect a switch to be flipped if a change in management and coaching occurs. They should expect that there is a culture change and a clear path to competitiveness laid out. I also suspect that there will need to be another at least partial rebuild to get over the hump for this team. The difference is I think that’s the culture laid down from Benning and Green more than a personnel or on ice issue.
