@Hereticwhy stop at slavery? Let's go after tribes/groups that invaded/occupied another tribe/group's land/watering hole/etc,. If we do that, we're going to end up cancelling probably all of the past larger cultures. So now let's give those cultures a vote and see them cancel us for wasting limited resources (the amount of water wasted by people in North America is insane), not doing enough to take care of people belonging to our tribe, animal cruelty, etc.

As a follow-up; if anyone has Amazon video a better recommendation would be "Mr Jones", a 2019 film depicting a true story of Gareth Jones journey to Moscow, discovering the Holdomor, & being a lone voice reporting on it, exc. Including re-creations of his accounts (Ukraine). It's really good.

While we're at it, why is it that full time BC teachers treat TOC's, EA's Support Staff like second class citizens? My wife has never been treated that way nor has she never done that in other provinces...

In an 'ideal' world, where school principals were the completely altruistic, educational leaders they should/could be, actually existed, then that kind of system might work. Unfortunately, many principals would hire for reasons completely unrelated to actual classroom performance, like: money (inexperienced teachers are cheaper), gender, willingness to do extra-curricular, or whatever criteria they see fit to apply...

My point is, heretic, is that how do you decide who's better and who's not? It then comes down, as qball pointed out, to "favorites" and is that fair? I don't like the current system because I get screwed over every year, but I honestly can't think of one that's better.

As far as treatment of TOC's/CEA's.......my experience is that its an individual thing.....some treat them as equals, some don't. For TOC's, I liken it to army vets who...

@Phil_314 That's understandable, because you're actually basing that off of your experiences with the game (and not on having some archaic concept of being a man, which really just speaks to your own insecurities). So I respect that and agree with certain points. The stupidity of people never fails to surprise me, and Pokemon Go is no exception. I've never been to a lure, don't play it often enough to do so, but I just don't see being antisocial as a major concern. Phones and mobile games have been around for years, you see tons of people playing them, I don't think one more is going to alter society. Its a phase that'll come and go and soon enough most of the ignorant people you see will get bored of it and be looking at their phones anyway cause that's who they are.

Most people aren't morons though (I think) and know the basics of looking both ways before you cross the street.

Some people take things way too seriously.  Good thing most people don't.

I guess some peoples idea of growing up means you can't goof off every now and then, but mine (and many others) doesn't.  If something is fun, I'm probably going to do it.  

In the end of the day spending 20 minutes playing a game on my phone during times I would have just been looking at the internet anyways doesn't really make a difference to anything.  So who cares?

Thanks.  I lucked out in that regard.  My body went crazy though and attacked the other kidney and tried to clot the main vein that drained blood/fluid.  Fortunately that was caught during a cancer MRI earlier this year and they were able to give me strong blood thinners while my body created collateral blood flow.

My body's like, "OK, the world has had enough of your sh*t now"!

From when I was 30-42, I played hockey once or twice a week.

Every now and then, due to vacations and other events, sometimes I had 2-3 weeks off - and that 1st game back was a killer...

It's fine and dandy in theory to try to neutralize them in 15 seconds. Even if they may actually be able to do it. In theory. But when most military people I've heard speak about this agree with this quote by Steve Bannon, it's obvious the risks out weigh the benefits. I can't stand Bannon, but this may be the only reasonable comment he's ever made.
