  1. Just logged in. Good win but I have to ask how many 22 year olds were dressed by the opposition?
  2. That Harvard defence in Rathbone's first year consists (top 4 anyways) of Fox, Marino, Walsh and Rathbone. Not bad. BTW, Walsh did not play together with him last year in Utica. (JR in Abby)
  3. Both Gaudette & Highmore not qualified. Trade was warm body for warm body. Highmore and Lammiko were decent 4th liners for a 17th-18th place team.
  4. Mike Bossy was also drafted 15th in 1977. With his wrist shots, I'm getting major Bossy vibes. Although JL seems much faster. In fact, on some of the highlights, the camera couldn't catch up to him.
  5. The old man was a mean SOB.. Second only to Ulf Samuelsson for taking out knees. Mean and nasty but played 926 games. Over 2300 PIMs. If MM can play that many games, that's a win.
  6. Decided not to read past the first 4 pages but my the vibe I get is Philip Larsen.
  7. In the UK trial against the Sun, the judge was a family friend of Rupert Murdoch who basically owns the Sun. Also, the judge's son worked for a subsidiary of the Sun and was a friend of the writer of the defamatory wife beater article. So it wasn't a fair trial to begin with.
  8. Eventually add Rathbone to PP1 - Rathbone with his shot replacing EP40, who will replace Miller, who'll be traded.
  9. It's Playoff time - you need stout and robust players on your 3rd and 4th lines. Woo can rumble, Klim unproven at that.
  10. How can the Condors be outshooting the Nucks? Aren't their best players the Black Aces on the Oilers?
  11. I say if Torey Krug can make it, so can Rathbone. Krug was similar size at the start of his career, now he's 205 lbs and imo, Rathbone can be better than Krug.
  12. Watching that clip, media is not doing their homework. They could have asked about Kuzmenko and what kind of player he is since they were teammates at SKA last year.
  13. Canucks setting Woo up to be a Scotty Walker/Steve Staios type.
  14. Does the AHL still have the veterans rule? If so, who are they? With the additions from Vancouver for the playoffs, I'm assuming a few vets would need to sit out
  15. Good game tonight but I think he needs to work on his puck retrievals on shoot ins.
  16. Then that Harvard D had Fox, Rathbone, Marino and Walsh that year. (I just noticed that Marino never played in the AHL)
  17. That Harvard defense during Rathbone's first year was quite decent - Fox, Marino, Rathbone.
  18. Wouldn't he be in the same position next year as Lockwood was last year (signing after a 4 yr college career)?
  19. I believe someone was saying the 53% FO guy is another Linus Karlsson.
  20. After Abby, then what? Summer in Russia or Vancouver?
  21. Vesey also. Only one you could say that got away and turned out great was Fox. All others were journeymen-types.
  22. Decent face off man. PK'er.
