Oh FFS. They do not mean "nothing" and even the sources you posted didn't say this. There is a limitation between nothing and something.
The worst thing about you posting your cute blog posts is that you seem to not be intelligent enough to understand them.
You pick on a word? One word? That’s it?
chill out DBTR. How many times do I have to say the words:
inconclusive, unsubstantial, incomplete, diluted,
before you see them?
so much more anger in here than I expected.

He called the thread $&!#ty with no reason to label it so. I explained why I feel it’s not.
regardless I would be more than willing to try friendship with him in the real world.
thats the thing
I’m used to discussing anything with people who disagree with me. I don’t take it personal. Sometimes that’s comes with heat. But if you have respect it can be very beneficial to disagree and as result maybe learn something. Disagreeing forces one to be sharp and thoughtful.
before all this I used to sit at a poker table every second Friday. Age range 20-65. Core group of 8 with some stragglers. One guy is Iranian. One guy is a white newfy married to an Iranian woman. And one guy has no joke worn a MAGA hat to the table. The conversations are amazing. People get into it. People get heated. Then we all just deal the cards and come back for more in two weeks.

man this thread....gone to $&!#!
How so?
to date it’s been repeat post after post of world death tally watching and graph models that mean nothing. Score keeping and debating over is JT or trump better at handling this crisis.
at least now there is some diversified real talk that is difficult to discuss which imo is far more worthwhile than the drone to date.

Hey WORLD....THIS ANONYMOUS INTERNET POSTER SAYS GOVERNMENTS ARE MAKING BAD DECISIONS...
You are hilarious.
What are your qualifications in making the statement governments are making decisions on inconclusive science? Really, what are they?
Get over yourself.
Um. Well I have no qualifications.
i guess that’s why I made my statement and then supported said statement with countless scientific references and direct quotes made by those who are qualified.
so I’ll just assume you haven’t bothered to read any of it.
do you even read?
if you don’t I have also posted a video with Dr. bahkdi. I’d say he is qualified.

Good to hear. Farmers need as much support as possible.

That's a lie. Foreign workers must undergo 14 day isolation as soon as they get here

No one telling anyone what to do upon arrival. Not necessarily chaos as mush as it was no plan.

What value does that number have? It is practically meaningless. With much certainty we know that China and Russia have understated their infection rate. Many countries don't have any ability to collect data. Most countries don't do anything close to universal testing. We have no real idea of how many people in Canada or the USA have C19.
Michael Campbell's show had interesting points. 7 million people left Wuhan province during January of this year. WHO stood by two critical assumptions; a) Border barriers would not work b) masks would not work. As it turns out this has blown up in their faces. Experience in S. Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and HongKong have proved otherwise. There is now a global petition to remove the head of the WHO. Canada has followed the WHO thru this entire emergency.
Our neighbor grows asparagus and depends on Mexican labor to pick it. He contacted the Canadian government who said he could bring in Mexican pickers again this year. The Mexican government said no. People continue to arrive in Canada with no mandatory isolation and no testing.
Fake News: CBS broadcast scenes from what was presented as a NYC hospital but was in fact an Italian hospital. Graphic scenes for shock value.
These are the experts I was told to believe by cdc posters.

Never my friend.
And to riffraff...I don't totally disagree with the being careful of what freedoms we give up when we're completely distracted by something monumental. The Shock Doctrine is on my current must read list and there are reasons to believe that there is absolute exploitation by some during times of crisis with a very real agenda to assume more power and control when everyone's focused elsewhere.
It's a good discussion when we keep it constructive.
Literally can’t online thank you enough for this post.
i ask for patience as I fumble my way through new territory. I’m not a researcher and I don’t write presentations or opinion pieces. So to everyone and you bare with my holes in delivery methods.

Sorry to be blunt, but the reason why you and samurai get targeted so often is because you both have a habit of unclear stances. Don't you wonder why so many posters ask you what your point is so often?
Actually lol
my history as a target here jus started this week.
no doubt my “vagueness” is not the only reason I’ve become a “target”....or flammable material lol.

My apologies. I hope I’ve made it clear now and will be sure to announce my intents in the future like everyone else.

2 minutes ago, coastal.view said:reactionary? really?
how about "responsive"
well worth the present priority given to this new problem facing the world
this pandemic
reactionary is a word i'd use about dramatic behaviour in relation to something trivial
reactionary also applies to not being prepared.
thats on everyone.

but i do think there is a distinct difference
this is a new challenge
that has a huge upside if tackled smartly and effectively
many lives can be saved by not being idle or complacent about this one
it is true that people die everyday
but the causes are multiple
and often due to complex societal issues
which were being addressed in the normal sophisticated dull thorough way these things are done
not dramatic or fresh
i think the current attention and energy being spent on this novel virus
is a very good investment
and a good placement of priorities
It is. But is not also a bit reactionary? A topic of discussion I started a few days ago.
to be clear when I say reactionaries I do not mean over the top or unnecessary.

No, I think you make comments that insinuate an opinion, which is why it's so important to write clearly on what your point is whenever you make a post with an idea.
Here's THIS, and from it I believe THIS.
I’ve done so. It’s not up to me if people want to add some sort of angle or motive to it.

It is honest, and I thank you.
But this part has me wanting to question why if this deal isn't worrisome enough to have measures in place that limit freedoms in order to prevent transmission?
That’s fair for sure. I’m not saying any of this isn’t worrisome.
for example:
I practice social distancing. I’m already a clean healthy person but I have hand sanitizer in my work trailer. I wash my hands before leaving the house and when I return. I shop only when needed.

and did not deal with the content of my post
but simply just said something neutral so you could continue down your present path and narrative
that provides thin value to me
so i'm not spending more energy on this discussion
Sorry i don’t Mean too. I’ve been responded too and also have responded quite a bit. So feel free to ask me anything again and I will take the time to deal with your content

wow really?
you really would take such risks based on your apparent belief in your own expertise
i find that a bit stunning
not sure why you would ignore so much data about this disease
and look to the examples of successful strategies
that have greatly limited transmissions (and i specifically exclude china's strategy)
Life involves risk. I was asked if I would help my fellow man. Sometimes that’s risky.

Why should I think that any success is due to the gvt? Have they even claimed a success?
I think we should be cautious in what we think defines a success until if and when this is over and what that life will be like.
That’s a ridiculous question imo.
sorry.
