  1. Why the f did these two need to kill before taking their own lives?!?!?
  2. Open ended question to all: what do you do or what are you doing when listening to metal? If anything at all? what bands or albums do you go to for certain things if at all?
  3. I think the video made Cash’s version far more impactful. He still did a good job on the song alone and it certainly fits his life.
  4. There are many mythical themes in metal going way back. even amongst the various vocal styles fans will pick and chose. I think it’s reasonable to suggest that the ear for the style is or can be developed. I fully understand why it’s hard for the casual listener dabbling in metal to find it hard to listen too. This is why I think nu-metal/rap metal became so popular in the early 2000’s and remains so to date. These bands typically have a mix of clean sounding vocals and the metal yell/scream throughout their songs making the metal genre approachable.
  5. Yes the vocals for most people is off putting. I’ve often heard “I like the music but you can’t even hear what he is saying” or variations of that assessment.
  6. As an aside I moved out of Squamish during the planning stage of this project and was strongly opposed to it
  7. We’d be trying to pin it on a)mental health b)domestic terrorism c)international terrorism
  8. You can’t remember the only name in the bar that wasn’t yours or your daughters and the one that was serving you drinks?
  9. I enjoyed listening to Yang the most but would like to hear more from Booker. What are your thoughts on him?
  10. It’s summer. they are all over the place!!!!!
  11. I meant its not hard right now to earn top dollar. but it’s not always like it is right now.
  12. I purchased a fairly major fixer upper where I could afford. Fortunately I can do most of the required work myself and I’ve spent the last four years doing it. even for me with the carpentry skills I have it takes time as I’m already swamped in my job and I have to be a family guy at home as well. There are aspects of the work I’ve paid for like plumbing, electrical and drywall as it makes more sense to stick to your skills rather than drag out a job that you aren’t qualified to do. In the end I want it to look as perfect as possible. Will it be a bit tight when my three kids are teens? Yes. It’s just under 1700sf. But it’s doable. If I have to live in that house forever so be it. It’s on a cul de sac and about a quarter acre so plenty of outside space for the kids which helps as the house isn’t that big. Personally i I could care less what the market does in the next couple years because I don’t plan to sell it to make money, my mortgage is super low and markets are always going to climb out of whatever dip they go into. It’s the west coast end everyone wants to live here. good luck Russ
  13. People, like your dad is, need to be realistic about their intent when purchasing the home. Is this a short term starter home (x years), is this a flip, can I see myself dying for in this home (long term forever house)? imo this determines what you spend and where and when you do it.
