  1. That article says nothing about which party she belongs to. I know that many of her policies while she was your favourite BC Premier were more along conservative lines, but she was a member of the Federal Liberal party long before that and I believe she continues to be.
  2. I'm posting this one early due to the back-to-back games on the weekend. I will post the updated leaderboard in the Canucks vs Canadiens PTSC thread for Tuesday's game. Predict the winner and the score - (4pts for both, 1pt for just the winner) Bonus question - Over/Under on 5.5 total goals scored. (1pt) My prediction: Vegas 5-2 Over Good luck, and Go Go!
  3. Lots of points handed out last game although nobody nailed the final score. Nice to see the shutout. Time to hit the road... Predict the winner and the score. (4pts for both, 1pt for just the winner) Bonus question - Which team takes more penalties (in minutes)? (1pt) Updated leaderboard: My predictions: Canucks win 4-1 SJ gets more PIMs Good luck, and Go Go! Edited for clarity.
  4. Is anything such thing as 'permanent' in politics? Party Leaders are like NHL GMs. They get to keep their jobs as long as they are winning.
  5. Turns out, it's not corruption. The CPC poobahs approved the expense. It's not uncommon for a political party to supply perks for its leader. The real problem here is that Scheer was trying to paint himself as an average Joe and Trudeau as one of the privileged elite all while having the party pay (at least a portion) of his kids' private school tuition AND not revealing it to the grass roots. Add on top of that the fact Scheer had almost zero support to stay on as leader but was desperately trying to do so, this was really just something that was held in reserve to push him off the cliff.
  6. Did not see that one coming. I always thought he would resign because he couldn't beat Trudeau when he had the chance. Would he still have resigned due to this if he was the PM?
  7. I was just thinking, I haven't seen a @hockeygod77 thread in a while. And there it is.
  8. Our collective faith in the home team really showed through last game with only a handful of points being handed out. Only 5 people picked the Leafs to win and nobody predicted the final score. Next game: Predict the winner and the score. (4pts for both, 1pt for just the winner) Bonus question - Which team scores first? (1pt) Bonus bonus question - Which player scores the Canucks' first goal? (1pt) Updated leaderboard: My predictions: Canucks win 4 - 1 Canucks score first Horvat with the first Canuck goal Good luck, and Go Go!
  9. Was it also the first time in the same stretch that the game wasn't on a Saturday?
  10. I should penalize you a point for being late, plus another for putting an apostrophe in Matthews.
  11. Here's the thing... If he taxes the internet providers to give the money to the American people, won't the internet providers simply pass those costs along to their customers who are the same American people?
  12. If my math is right, that would be roughly $2.5 Trillion per year. That might be a hard promise to keep.
  13. What if the Blues said that last year? OK, you started late and it will be hard to catch the leaders but there's a lot of season left and this prediction game rewards frequent game players. Also, I will be posting make-up games where lots of points will be available. If you predict against the grain and are right, you could make up the difference pretty quickly. Plus, it's fun. The prizes will be announced at mid-season, likely in the Canucks vs Chicago game on January 2nd.
  14. I believe he just hit the magic number for age & games played to no longer be waiver exempt.
  15. If memory serves correct, this sounds like a bigger version of their last ban. Russian athletes can compete if they can prove they are clean, just not under the Russian flag. https://www.tsn.ca/world-anti-doping-agency-imposes-4-year-ban-on-russia-1.1410338
  16. The tree isn't complete without this beauty.

The last time a Canadian hockey team won a Stanley Cup was in 1993 when the Montreal Canadiens won against the Los Angeles Kings.

I'm fairly confident the two events are not connected.  :)

  17. I missed most of the game but arrived home just in time to see the OT winner. Congrats to @the grinder for getting the correct final score for the second game in a row! Next up, the hated Leafs. Predict the winner and the score. (4pts for both, 1pt for just the winner) Bonus question - Which player scores the game's first goal? (1pt) Bonus bonus question - Which player scores the game winning goal? (1pt) Updated leaderboard: My predictions: Canucks win 4-1 Miller scores first Boeser scores the GWG Good luck, and Go Go!
