Cap reasons aside, we would have to sweeten the deal a bit, add in a forth/5. I would love to get that experience that hornqvist and Johnson could provide.
This trade doesn't make much sense lol. Hornqvist has more value than Sutter and Johnson is about on par with Hutton, maybe less. Why do they throw in a 2nd haha
Only ones I'd like to see moved would be Eriksson and Sutter but honestly. I like having Sutter and Eriksson is hard to move. I like staying the course as is.
Not a good injury to rush back on, especially when under an NHL contract. Hopefully the doctor is thinking about his future and not this junior teams immediate success..
When it comes to full time roster players I don't necessarily agree that their value fluctuates much at all during that time. At the beginning of last season maybe, when he was a fringe player who needed to prove something.
I do get what you mean though.
He's got an NHL ready mind, that was not ever in question. He's coming off multiple injury riddled seasons, he will need more than just an off season and camp to be 100% ready. They will not rush him.
How is he a traitor to New York tho? I don't agree with people ditching the teams that drafted them but it's not his fault that the rules are set up the way they are.
Imagine playing for the team you grew up wanting to play for, im sure New York isn't worried about loyalty.
Honestly, it wouldn't of been a bad thing by any means having him play with fox another season, dudes a beast. He will get more ice time though which is great.
Fox's skating is on par if not better dude...lol. Rathbone does play more physical but that's probably the only category he has the edge on at the moment.
