  1. Take the blinders off man lol. I love Rathbone too but clearly you don't know anything about fox lol Rathbone is one year younger, fox had played 2 wjc (played great) by rathbones age and had dominated the NCAA for two years. I hope Rathbone becomes a great player but right now fox is just a better prospect.
  2. Fox didn't need 4 years, he played the 4 because he wanted to become a FA. Fox is definitely a better prospect right now without a doubt ...
  3. Most likely Utica bound this fall
  4. I'd personally have Harley higher than seider, broberg, and heinola.
  5. There will always be sleepers and late bloomers, but you are correct in that the scouting has improved significantly.
  6. There's just that many good forwards, it definitely is a bit thin in D comparably to the past few drafts for sure tho.
  7. I would imagine they have a list of their own to go off for BPA and I'd imagine that's how most teams do their drafting.
  8. His skating wasn't making any ...strides? Not great defensively either.
  9. As long as progress is being made I think teams will wait as long as they need to.
  10. I'd have a hard time passing up on him at 10. He's top 3 player in the draft, he's even worth waiting 2-3 years before he comes over. Having said that, i doubt he's there at 10.
  11. His play away from the puck would tell me he isn't much of a Benning pick. I don't mind kaliyev but I would be disappointed picking him at 10.
  12. Don't know if you actually watched him and followed his season, or just say down and looked at his stats at the end of the season. Dude fought injuries all year, adjusting to pro life (living on your own, diet, working out), all that stuff adds up. Time for him to buckle down for sure but im not worried yet...
  13. It's an okay idea but honestly I don't think I'd want to pass up such a high quality prospect. If they have their guy who would be available at 19 then it would be different but honestly I think it'd be a mistake to pass the chance to get one of the top 12 guys.
  14. What do you mean! He lit it up last year, infinitely multiplied his point totals.
  15. He could keep up, the game is also way more skilled...which he wasnt. Loved him when he was in van, absolute workhorse
  16. It was evident that Makar had the skill to possibly be the best player in the draft and still can be (EP wont let that happen though). Patrick played his way out of number 1 and hischier made it hard not to pick.
  17. To be fair Makar was very high on most lists, alot of people had him as the number 1 D in the whole draft.
  18. Anyone have any insight on Nathan lagare from the u18s? Possible option in round 2, had a good year on a stacked team - tough to get a good read on his production.
  19. Rolling lines is great and all but that doesn't mean they are solid. Loved how avs played, all 4 lines were playing hard but how long can it last.
  20. If van is going D I'd hope they move down a few spots. Just so many good forwards available but as far as D go I'd go in the order of: Byram - York - Seider - Soderstrom - Broberg 10 is a good spot to be as there will be 2-3 great players falling a bit, right into our laps.
  21. I think it's just a matter of hiring maybe a solid assistant gm with good experience. I agree, he's made some questionable decisions but overall I'd hope we continue with him.
