  1. Got no problem with that either. Less said, the better.
  2. Today saw someone(or 2, whatever?) basically weaseling with a comment(paraphrasing)..."if we DO sneak into PO's, it just louses up the rebuild, & ensures JB is there longer. blah x3"...so these irredeemable ar**holes will keep pushing their petty poison, irrespective of how the team does. It's pretty clear such posters are NOT fans of the Vancouver Canucks. Whatever their true agenda is, it's a pretty lame, sad & insignificant online-existence. I hope the team itself is aware of the degree of dishonesty of the HFtrolls; just as I hope they're aware/appreciate the mostly positive support & enthusiasm originating from our site here. There are so MANY aspects of the org to be excited about nowadays. Prob will simply stop glancing at what them dramaQueens(HFVan board) have to say. They jumped the shark a long ways back. Losing relevancy fast, & can no longer even provide a decent contrarian's view.
  3. Nice overview, Timbermen..I'd certainly vouch for all you've stated here. Pegged these ***holes & their game, yrs back, so never bothered ever signing up. Lurk & scan just to hear the nasty gamut of criticisms; also to admire the devoted fans who try & weather that abusive, corrosive environment. The whole operation becomes a quasi-sabotage, where their cancerous negativity almost seems enough to smear a whole fanbase. All amounts to a petty, sneering, childish & cynical existence for that sort. They can't feel very good about themselves. Sport often brings out the best & worst in folks. As this squad keeps ascending, termites over there will sneak back, deeper into the woodwork. & you shall know them by their deeds Not only for trolls. Really am pleased JB has placed such a wise emphasis on drafting/developing kids of admirable character. This fact will add weight to the heavy, cumbersome emotional baggage them HFTrolls have to lug around. Termites. Success, like burning fire will scorch & smoke'em out! :^)
  4. Watch this league throw a drug test at Big Nik, & secretly doctor the results! Seriously, if I were owner of Van, I wouldn't trust NHL Hindquarters for a freeken' nanosecond. This riggeddeckleague has a dirty agenda. Take every precaution when dealing with their US-tilted operation.
  5. Nice bonus..considering this exp'd asset can be traced back to malcontent, Mr not hip Kesler.
  6. Playing Springfield(FLO) tonite..appears Bancks scored with 1 sec left in 1st, to tie it at one.
  7. Read some interesting spec(over there) that JB had refused some 'analytics' group, & they went elsewhere. Of course those are the type of clowns that would try & come back(secretly) to poison any online wellspring of hope. As the proverb goes @Kanukfanatic, "Idle hands are the devil's laptop!" :^)
  8. On Ferland, I hope everyone maintains the long view. Don't rush him..if he gets in playing(well) late season, it's a bonus. Otherwise we can LTIR for a longgg period. I've seen some major concussions(Eric Staal comes to mind) where you've gotta shelve a bloke for a lengthy period, but he eventually returns to form. It could also happen with MF. With a roster that should stay close to cap-max(for a number of yrs), we can keep this ace sleeved on LTIR. Might be next season he suddenly pays off in spades? Forgettaboutit.
  9. How many bucks will Kovalchuk, chuck Not givin' a F*** about 2-way puck?
  10. This is DJ Nuxfan, sendin' out an old classic, to Bergevin in MTL. It's The Eagles, & Desperado!...
  11. Almost hard for posters to be clear-headed right now..folks feelin' drunk on success! I was quite optimistic this season, as it got underway. What I really love at this point, is it seems this team has over a dozen(diverse) ways they can beat you. May be inexperienced, but I think a lot of teams would be worried facing Van in a series. Adaptability is important in spring. IF(big if) we get on a serious roll for a couple months, safely above PO bar, I'd like them to experiment(diff lines) somewhat. Then if injuries do hit late-season, the lineup might be more flexible & prepared. I WANT that negative split, where we get to at least 97 points(over 48 pts, 2nd half). Don't wanna be greedy, but a div, top-3 would be golden.
  12. 41 games & 48 pts is a pretty solid mid-season number. Also extrapolated stats for many skaters(by simply doubling today's pt totals) might seem optimistic, at first glance. However since we had so much roster turnover, prob took 5-10 games in Oct for guys to start gelling. Then another 10-20 games to get the lines pretty consistent. Considering these factors, I'd say it's fairly realistic to project such high totals for many of our skaters, by the time spring arrives. The lines & special teams look quite solid/established now.
  13. Fires in Australia..why is no one talking much about such an extreme situation?
  14. Sbisa up to his old antics. MAN, his gaffe is brutal on TO's 2nd marker.
  15. Perfect time to flip. Subban is now exposed as a self-PR disaster. To turn him into 5 yrs of Weber leadership, THEN a nice young pkg is mighty smart recycling.
  16. Sorry SF1..but Sabs should trade their 50 contracts with the PNW, & start fresh with a clean slate.
  17. Nice to see contracts are moving, & deals are being made.

Maybe we can move Baer or BS?

our 4th line is playing best with schaller motte and beagle and are prob outplaying other teams 2nd 3rd and 4th lines

Sutter has to be healthy and playing well at the deadline in order to trade him.

Don't think there's a market for Baer (viewed as damaged goods).

Goldy might but there won't be much return for him. (Despite a favourable cap hit)

The real question is Tanev. UFA at the end of the year.

Probably our best defensive D-man, but this is the first time in years he's been reasonably healthy.

      Good time to sell high?

In my opinion we can trade a defense. Stecher or Tanev. (And Fantenberg as I see him as replaceable by Sautner, Brisebois etc.)

      - A bottom 6 forward. Schaller or Sutter.

For me the biggest question this deadline is whether or not to trade Pearson. He's riding a career high right now and only has one more year after this on his deal. After that he will command more money then we can afford. Therefore, if we trade him we should get top value and come out like bandits if he regresses in the coming months to his average output.

  18. Been saying this for a couple yrs..it's HIGH time they commit to a proper foundation. Sell the old stars Price to Cowtown. Retain a couple mill for that horrendous contract. Weber to EDM or Winterpeg. Retain 1 mill, if it'll enhance return. Stop serving two masters. Commit to the19-27 yr old range(emphasis on the younger side)
  19. Sens will be interesting to watch, from this TDL 'til next Fall. Excess of prospects & picks. Imagine they'll start shipping larger pkg's out, for players at specific positions.
  20. They were allowed to ship excess off to France, or LTIR skin rashes & (likely) hangnails. Were once the darlings for the #riggeddeckleague. It was hard for them to cover up the antics of that slick lil', sneaky criminal sniper. Respect for Toews however.
  21. Might be getting old, m'self..but I see past body work, & likely heavy prev mileage.
