JV & Sutter is another pkg..that might be even better.
-
Sure would be nice in PO's, if every line carried nasty, sizeable scoring depth.
-
You though WRONG mister! Now pray to the hockeyGawds for the CBJ's!

I see 31 buckets Alfer, & cap hit is the liquid. Everyone's damn-near full! So what's interesting here is even if you lost this deal(eg: JA can't find form), clearing the books is simply very valuable(in itself) to us, right now. With names like Pod & Lind coming, our RW will likely be kosher anyways. With returning bodies, we have the depth to take a chance.

Josh held out last yr, settled, then puts up 47 pts(27 snipes). His tilt with Jamie Benn was pretty damn epic. This yr he's stuck on TWO lousy pts..but with an unsustainable 2% sh pct. I guess he wants outa' that town, away from Torts(or both). He's prob playing with minimal motivation. One question I do have is his health. Did he get banged up(last yr) from scrapping? This is one issue they'd need to be clear on. The Torts catastrophic season produced the 6 slot, where we chose JV. A player with gifts/tools, but is there a toolbox? Starting to wonder. His not taking summer training seriously(it appeared) is a huge faux pas, when one considers the kinda young cast JB is assembling. He might DESERVE a yr of tutelage under our former coach-rapper. It almost seems a karmic-destiny thing. RW: Brock, Goldy?, Sutter/Gaudette, Motte, Leivo, Big Mac I say we can afford this risk. If JA doesn't find his game we dump about 5,000,000 of cap, clearing books & making space for next season. But Anderson might find explosive chemistry with either Bo or EP. Need to dump Pearson for the cap. They either take him, or Baer. CBJ has oodles.

Trade-imbalanced, fear-porn?!

Tanner Pearson, Jake Virtanen CBJ: Josh Anderson Right off the hop, I'll state there are many reasons I'd mull this pretty damn hard, if it were available. I'll get into the reasoning later. & yes, I'm aware that JA has had an abysmal start to the season.
-
I'm not worried about this any more. Reason is Dipietro. I think you take the best asset in return(likely from Demko), then you can move on to other matters.

Heard thru the grapevine(deep sources) it's a frantic fungal-foot infection(known as F3, in medical parlance)..he just had to scratch, until they had to as well. They want the kid to settle in & stay, but he has itchy feet...

Van & Nash(Proposal-discussion)

He DUMPed Subban for peanuts..that's simply irrefutable. -
World economics are shifting towards Russia/Asia..it'll be interesting to see the degree this gets reflected in pro sports. Like flies to $*!T, you know pro athletes(& lackey agents) have a $harp $ense of $mell for where that $ aroma emanates from.

Would be just fine with 6 pts on this 6-gamer. So much lineup turnover lately.

Can't believe this kid is 18 until next summer. Could bust in with us as a fresh faced 20 yr old, with 2 yrs of pro hockey already under his belt. Guy's gonna be a monster in 2 yrs!

We prob need to dump another fwd contract, but that's interesting edit: They retain, or LouiE has to be included -
Yes..& I told this to the Missus, "Hey honey, they called up Goldy. But he has to get his nose dirty!" She looked at me, baffled(idioms are not her strong point with our confounding language). So I took time to explain this linguistic-gem, & an argument followed shortly thereafter! Although everyone says you absolutely are a GENT, you might have inadvertently ruined my day! :^)

Time to give Goldy a chance with Petey again?

A plus to the OP, for nailing this call -

Yeah.pretty reasonable view, & probably it's more likely they lean this direction. I was visualizing they dump a few more fwd contracts(other moves), but that might prove difficult this yr. Doesn't seem many 2 mill+ contracts are being moved. Lots of teams tight to the cap. Another matter is I keep hearing economic people forecasting a big financial downturn in the cards. I wonder if many owner types are more interested in dumping big contracts(like Subban to Devs), instead of taking them on? sorry, meant to reply to last post^ -

The real prize would be Fabbro, as Nash D-prospects are usually worth something. Saros would just be balancing cap, & enabling Mikey D to get another 15 mos of starter's sched in the AHL. Both Fabbro & Demko are then protected(by respective teams) at ED. -

It's a fair question. Also interesting 1 or 2 posters suggested Nash laughs at this, whereas you state it's poor from Van's end. So obviously one of these conflicting opinions is off the mark. I made a 2nd proposal(including 'tenders) further down the page, as well. I'd assume this looks even worse, from your pov? -

All these guys coming back, they should continue to rest this guy up. Tell him to train hard(hit the weights), tell the Doc still feel a lil' groggy, & sleeve this ace until new yr's, perhaps? He's been out long enough(10 g/24 d) they could LTIR the cap hit. -

Can't help but wonder if a deal may be in the offing. When all skaters return, aren't we a smidge over the 81.5 limit? When the same amount are sent down to the farm, don't think it creates enough space, does it? -

Nashville are conpretenders, & David Poile knows it. Picked up the Duch-curse, & now has to rearrange roster. Dump Subban & Turris?..Not bad, there's $14,000,000 of rotten cabbage, he can replant. Rinne has jumped the shark too, so we include Demko for Soros.(AFTER re-signing Jacob to a good number) Van: LouiE, Stecher, Demko ..about 9.4 mill Nash: Turris(retain 1 mill x 5 yrs), Fabbro, Soros ..7.5 mill Next summer Craig Smith & Granny contracts expire, there's another $10,000,000 cap space. They could suffer through one yr of LouiE, or buy him out pronto..doesn't really matter. They put their eggs in the RyJo, Duch basket, necessitating a deal like this. Once Rinne & Bonino are off books in 2 yrs, about $ 30,000,000 is open to completely restructure team composition. IF they wait & miss PO's with this overpaid roster, they're hooped far worse. As a GM, you gotta act preemptively, after a few recent moves have backfired.
