  1. Such Predictable puns Only Maddens everybody..U grow up!
  2. Wouldn't consider the deal, unless they retained a chunk of that cap hit. Move Sutter(perhaps) at draft..retain if necc. Gaudette would mostly be a winger. Fabbro would cover Tanev's slot, next season. Again freeing up lots of cap space.
  3. Make Stech a hybrid?

Too many games we go down to 5d. It would be smart to often roll 11 fwds/7D.

He seems to love playing in his hometown, & always gives 100% effort. Why not train a skater, so that they're highly adaptable to switch, at moment's notice?

In physical PO series, it'd be wise to have an extra D-man, if needed.

i thought the nucks already have too many forwards

and will be facing some tough decision soon about what to do about this issue

who else do you think should be moved on if stetch takes up a forward spot on each game roster?

Stech is unlike Jordan Subban. He can actually play defence.

That's why Jordan Subban is playing in Europe.

stecher is fine as 5/6 th dman  if tryamkin signs he might be pushed out  to 7th

  4. Was also thinking ribs, when SNet showed that skate come up. Thank goodness it doesn't appear serious.
  5. Not easy to estimate value here Only 2 more yrs of Loui after this one; 4 more yrs of Turris.
  6. NOT a hard-sell. Pls don't treat it as such. I don't know enough about the young guy, nor how the other one is playing(haven't seen him this yr). I know Poile is a solid GM, but I think he's made a few blunders too. question: Do Nashville fancy themselves contenders? They don't seem to be cruising along, this yr. A minor blip..or sign of things to come? I bet there will be some differing opinion here, on the Preds coming fortunes. I'll just post this now. Have a bigger deal(maybe include Demko/Soros?), but will just start with this shorty, as I have to head out the door for a bit, this morn. Van: Stecher, LouiE the lump Nash: Fabbro, Turris(they retain 1 mill, for remaining 5 yrs) ***is this realistic?*** We all wanna dump you know who. Apparently they've been sitting KT lately. Both guys are local kids too.
  7. Has this ol' site become a kinder, gentler place lately? Sorta feels like it.

A shout-out to all posters who like good hockey discussion. Folks who can give/take a lil' humorous ribbing..but are good sports, & stand by their fav team(whoever that is)!

People who don't mind when others refute their insights. Just wanna discuss, learn, & see the game from myriad viewpoints.

We shouldn't NEED a top team, for CDC to become ultra-civilized..but I guess it wouldn't hurt! :^)

i try to treat others as brothers or sisters. you can disagree with them but you can still respect them and their opinions. life is way too short to be hating one another, i know.

  8. A lot of our prospect-breakthrough seems attributable to character. Some of them might have setbacks/ poor yrs, etc...but what may cause some kids to lose heart, might just motivate the prospect that has the requisite character. Sometimes the early adversity produces an exceptional gem. Should we have(some day) a truly elite team, filled with top character pros, it'll ensure even more motivation for highly picked youth to do the homework, & make the big team. Elite talent want to play with classy, committed pros like EP, Bo, QH & BB. When you have a top-end team, there are no short cuts to admission.
  9. Love that we're starting to roll with the depth youth that have size. You gotta' grind out 10-15 ugly road W's over the course of a season. WTG boys!!!
  10. Like Spinal Tap when they're lost in the catacombs of Chicago stadium
  11. To bust this record a shorty will go in at 00:58 of the 3rd, off Schaller's derriere.
  12. Lots of talk in the Nation's cap..these Sens are punchin beyond their weight..but obviously are looking towards the long haul. What should they do with JG Pageau?..UFA who's playing brilliantly. They probably could have 3 1st rounders, in a stellar class, should they decide to sell high. Why not chase after Matthew Tkachuk? OTT: Pageau, Boedker, Formenton, Lajoie, San Jose 2020 1st Cal: Tkachunky, Valimaki, Czarnik (cap's almost a wash..some dudes are out, right now)
  13. Noticed names like Boucher, Camper & Gadjovich recently back.

With this health filtering back in(touch wood), I really expect a peripheral deal or two being swung.

Buff, Mtl, OTT..somewheres out east, I'll venture.

Happy to see Gadjovich back and being productive.

  14. It's almost 1 am in Japan, & game starts at 2:30 am. You guyz talkin' bagels(Trolling w/ my drug of choice). Should I stay up, enjoy bagel & game, & catch a few zzz's before a morning class? Sometimes problematic when your young team is Just TOO Darned exciting! Sure enjoyed watching that Nash game(after the fact)..but boy we nabbed a few cheezy bounces! Bluddy Eriksson better wake up & do something! He's burnin' my bacon. GCG!
  15. Just looking at these lists can hype a guy up. Our drafting appears to be beast mode, & apparently HAS been there for some time. Then you go & sign College FA's who quickly make a mark, for good measure. Will the rising tide(drafted youth), lift all vet-boats(guys like Sutter)? The established/signed players can no longer just tread water. You swim capably & well, or you sink. edit: I'll have to trust you folk to handle the rankings..can't see enough prospects in play. But the hilites on twits-world/Utube are aways fun to see. Very nice to also see how many mid-rd kids are climbing the ladder
  16. Utube just offered up 8 mins of her latest smooth composure(guess there was a debate?) Admire her stepping into that poisonous snake pit, in the first place. Makes me think of that Indiana Jones scene(Snakes?!) in that first classic flick.
  17. You set the tone, & the other team starts grinding, hacking & whacking too! Umm, all our gritty depth has been ground to grits. Once we get the whole cast intact, I think THEN Bo will have his 2nd-half, bada$$ hard-man game goin'. Might have even been coach's orders..cos' they didn't need another Nov with 20 F***ing injuries(Comets/Canucks)..sometimes you gotta' lay low & bide time.
  18. Well I'm sold. Wrap it up with a bow..& put two more in, thanks! :^)
  19. It's a good question, OP..just woke up to this philosophical poser; with a nasty half-cup of coffee, I reheated from yesterday's pot(I'm guessing this rot-gut holds more cup-value, that this insufferable cap-thief!) It might have been mentioned..haven't scrolled yet? Perhaps they've cut a deal to grind thru 1 more yr of Hell w/this guy(on roster) & he'll skedaddle next summer after another ill-gotten bonus? I'm hoping this is the case..but I also buy lotto tix, cos' I have a dream, dammit!
  20. RB, Aren't StLoo happy today they didn't panic last Dec? How drastically a deal like the above(TO, StLoo one) could have altered outcomes?! ROR had nagging questions/insinuations for a long while, before busting out last Spring. Tavares/ROR/Kadri would've been a nasty(all-Ont) C trio!
  21. Had to bump my trade Matthews proposal, OP. A yr ago many posters here were wiser than that idiot Dubas will ever hope to be. Kid's got no character, flair or charisma.
