  1. Had to bump this, @IjustNEEDaTROYgamble the similarity to your prop is striking. Almost 1 yr earlier(362 days?) Fleas woulda' been wayy better off trying some of the ideas in this thread. You DON'T p!$$ 40 mill on 4 fwds.
  2. Well gang, gotta skedaddle..Y'all cheer the boys on to glory. Let's show these buck-toothed cats who really CUTS the mustard!
  3. It's kinda selfish, when you mull it over. I mean the fans are expecting spontaneous combustion, & he just kinda flings it in the net...
  4. Woke up, got outa' bed

    dragged a comb...(blah x3)

Seriously, I turned on the pc & clicked SNet. Blue this, blue that...F***ing wallpaper with Fleas propaganda. My sympathy flips into schadenfreude, before you can say Bore-ya Salming!

That bloody COTU is goin' full-on Hollyweird, & wired for disappointment. Can't say we never warned them...

      "Woke up, got outa' bed

      dragged a comb"

That's how a number of Lennon & McCartney songs were done back in the day.  One would have a bunch of verses & the other would contribute a verse, line or word to complete the song.  Both of them agreed early on to always give equal song writing credit on their songs (even if the other didn't add anything to a song).

  5. Next thing you know, he suffers a snakebite in Finland! PuckGawds just bein meanies, is all. & to think we had Sami Salo mentoring him?..That, Ms Morrissette, is Ironic, don't ya think?
  6. I want Mikheyev from these ragamuffins..they haven't had much time yet, to destroy his spirit. Size, talent, speed... He's cheap..so next yr they won't be able to pay the guy.
  7. Have to miss tomorrow's tilt vs the mangy mustard men. The Missus wants to go traipsing about northern Kyoto, visiting temples & shrines. The poor lass works hard(teaching 40 elementary rugrats/maintaining sanity), but I've negotiated a pit-stop at the donut shop for some Cdn culture, to balance. If they win in Nash, might have to make this a routine :^) GCG!
  8. Sens ONE pt back of Laffs..game in hand!

    This is getting interesting.

I LIKE this young Sens outfit. In a few yrs they're gonna be a major PITA! The Fleas will be playin' 2nd fiddle for a mighty long decade.

Meh.  Great on the Laffs struggling but the Sens aren’t doing jack in the long term with that owner.

    4. Coconuts

      Coconuts

I mean, probably not. I hate Melnyk but it'd be funny to see the Sens do better than the Leafs.

  9. Ladies & Gents...HALL & OATES!!! What they got, good stock of gaffes & D that scatter New coach to hush the natter & press that can't explain...ooh yeah But Duube.. he made these screams come true!.. On a slump, where bad dreams, still haunt the dreamer Becomin' '67- screamer! Waffles bouncin' outa' plaaace..oh yeah, But Duube, he F***ed this franchise through(oooh oh x3) Well, well, well Duube Paper bags, shades of blue(ooh ooh ooh x2)
  10. So fire the coach, but keep the clueless kid that concocted this fiasco? Hmm, how much more rope is given to this green GM?
  11. Whaddya'think Brian Burkey?.. BobbyRyan? Nah he can't even spell in tent-city!..dump hm! In all seriousness, hope this bloke gets it all on track.
  12. Before folks start looking thoughtfully at bridges & ledges, thought I'd throw this out there. A bit of duality, might be the ticket. Either 1, they turn it 'round, or 2, they're not ready yet. I still contend that either way, we'll be fine. I still love the character youth we've acquired, & fully back our beloved 'Nuckers. 1-turn it round to me simply implies they make the PO's. Thus the trade commitment with Tbay is completed. That's all fine, & today might sit around 40, 50%..who knows? Prob wouldn't go far yet, anyhow..but the exp would be great for our youth. Both making it in, & playing in mid, late April/perhaps early May? Fine & dandy 2-not ready yet There are a number of reasons I'm fully embracing this possibility too. I'll list them here, for simplicity's sake - The two Lou/Lu's have botched the cap. If we slide back(next 60 games), contracts should be simple for the next two yrs. Presumably EP & QH won't be able to demand astronomical deals. We'd prob move on from Schall, Jacob, Tan-man..or re-sign them reasonably. It'll encourage the team to keep inserting exciting ELC youth, every Fall. - We're able to be more aggressive from late Dec-TDL in letting older assets go. It's a great time to collect more picks, or cheaper players/prospects for team & farm. There's a nice period here, to start really shaping/molding the future roster, as an ED looms about 15, 16 mos later. Be proactive & get out ahead of it all. - The 2020 draft is apparently loaded. There's a nice final(hopefully) high pick to add in with our brilliant young core. No Screaming team positional/size-deficiency now, so JB can just sit back & choose whoever he feels is the brightest young talent available. ***So the 2021 pick to Tbay?*** Haters will try to turn this into 14 mos of ranting Hell. I'll state now, they can all go there themselves. Irrespective of whatever selection slot they wind up with, we made this call(I'm glad we did)..from my own pov, a fan should fully accept the choice. For these two yrs & going fwd, Miller will likely be a valuable vet contributor(signed reasonably), helping our youth excel on & off the ice. In the end my friends I'm saying don't get too wound up about every game & streak. Sit back & simply enjoy the games for what they are..entertainment. Don't carry excessive expectations for our classy, young cast. This season should play out so we come out on the winning-end, whichever way it goes.
  13. Looks more & more like about .500 to end Nov. This road trip is a timely test. Might find out early, it's wise to sell off some excess.
  14. Needed their butts kicked to wake'em up. One question: I thought when we call up youth, we'd get to see'em? I've seen enough of the dopey sloth, thanks
  15. I know..that's partly why I ran away in late '94..it was already getting $h!tty then
  16. The whole planet is a freeken psych ward these days, my friend..& you likely see things a far sight clearer than I ever will. Just never wanna' bow down to the inmates who run this asylum.
  17. Don't think this can be improved upon, as answers go :^)
  18. Was about 3 yrs ago punk Kadri ran Daniel. Rookie Stech got jumped by a goon(thanks Millsy!). Irritating lil' Fleas singing Bon Jovi on their bench. That game really burned my bacon. Is karma biting their a$$ like a pitbull? They got so cocky as they were rising..got ahead of themselves. Usually cheer for Cdn teams, but I don't mind if they have to burn it all down, one more time.
  19. Or live in a forest & eat freeken berries?! Workin' class poverty is no joke, & it'll reduce life to a Hellish grind, in most cases. It's difficult when one compares such standards to those of decades (perhaps long?) past. While 99% of us will have to tighten our belts, the elites will carry on like Auston Matthews!
  20. Was gonna say a lot of this, but fortunately looked at your post here. It's incredible how much $$$ they're going to waste, frivolously building 75% of a dream house, with no foundation, on a steep grade(thinking beforehand only of the view). Then the rains come... What's extra amazing is we've seen this movie before. The Burke yrs there were some huge gaffes(esp gifting high 1sts)..& it took so longgg for them to climb outa' that hole. When the retained $alary on Ke$$el Finally runs out, they'll prob be repeating this travesty, retaining $ on this next wave of overpaid, uninspiring floaters! *WHAT have the media DONE?!* Leafer brainwashed masses are like a gaggle of innocent, impressionable kids, who've been taken to a theatre to see a wonderful Disney production. Unfortunately sociopathic elders have barred the doors, & suddenly begun playing the Blair Witch Project! For the next 18 mos, traumatized Laff backers will be worrying/fixating on the quality of the 1st they'll(again) gift to a stronger US rival. I bet they'll finish bottom-10 this season, thus kicking the Marleau-can down the road to 2021. & they had all been laughing at the Sens for squandering a high pick on Duchene. At least the Sens usually got something in recent deals they've made. Leafs waste a 1st to simply Dump a player?! Absolute catastrophe.
  21. I like this tweak, BTF. I'd wanted to dump all of Pearson's 2021-22 commitment, but that might be greedily chasing need. Your proposal is something easier for Dubas to sell to the Hogtown masses. Could see it's persuasive merits. Wouldn't surprise me to see a fairly significant deal from JB, in late Nov/early Dec...
