  1. This inconsistency is what burns my bacon. In a league where they milk Cdn revenue to funnel funds to locales where hockey makes zero sense. It almost reminds a person of how a certain country conducts their BIZ(always about $ eh?) in places like Iraq, Ukraine, Syria(perhaps list over 100 nations?)..it's never-ending. They've turned what WAS an incredible league(with storied history) into a rigged deck-casino. Might as well make Joe Pesci & DeNiro joint Commissioners..what's the diff?
  2. Do you go back to trolling, when your crap town is no longer rolling?(there's surely a poem in this)
  3. They turned our 80's jersey upside-down. We should sue 'em ALL!!!
  4. If Sutter is out long term, the lineup still looks pretty decent: Miller - Petterson - Boeser Baertschi - Horvat - Virtanen Ferland - Gaudette - Leivo Roussel - Beagle - Motte Punt LouiE. Schaller & Pearson add solid depth. So many of these W's can move up/down the lineup..it's quite versatile. For C-depth, we'd have to look to(& hope) MacEwen & Graovac can cut the mustard.
  5. Yeah, been wanting to see Prince Charming getting surly. All these indicators that this group is coming together. Fun to watch a young nucleus develop.
  6. If Sutter is out long term..the cap situation is crystal clear for this season. Roussel, Sven, Motte & Ferland..we'll be able to $ fit all this depth. Hope they demote LE, as well.
  7. WTG boys! Great tilt. On the neg side, tired of Suttsy's fragility. Don't mind if he LTIR's his way to the finish line. Nice to see youth coming through, in the clutch.
  8. There's a growing obsession of health No longer enamoured with stealth Regarding our youth Let's state the truth For it's there, we discover our wealth
  9. It's a good outlook. Then when there's a lull in the team's trend, there are plenty of youth(various leagues) & the farm, all worth keeping tabs on. From about 2014-2017ish, we didn't really have this backup. There wasn't yet faith in the product JB was restocking shelves with. Back then, we were all mostly stuck(traumatized?!) in the (recent) past. Angry at the riggeddeckleague. When you have a decent team & a wealth of prospects, fans can alternate thinking between present/future. Huge difference.
  10. The formidable opponents usually bring out the best from our guys. Expecting them to give 110%. GCG!!!
  11. Thank you HGawds that they didn't land a couple more beauts in that botched draft. They'll be aging/raging soon...
  12. The beat picks up, with the Laffs due to encounter a few stiff tests(mostly) on the road..& now they are playing musical backups? Can they tread water w/ no Marner? Should be interesting.
  13. My views on him have changed a lot over the yrs. In my youth, it all passed as entertainment..somewhere along the way, many of his views became quite offensive. Stopped listening quite a few yrs back. I'd imagine many in my demographic have a similar outlook on such kinds of personalities. But to each, their own. One has to decide for themselves, who deserves respect/admiration, or scorn. That's a subjective, personal matter, linked to one's values, principles, etc...
  14. I'm tired of war. These 19 yrs, have been a hangover for 20th C abuses, it sometimes feels.

Forget about this or that nation. What about the planet, & all humanity? Happiness happens to live alongside peace & love..Gee, isn't THAT a revelation!

It's all Orwellian manipulation. Ceremony/sport/media meld into one.

Most of the Wars in my lifetime have been started with lies,Vietnam,Iraq(what weapons of mass destruction?)

Such a shame,do not get me wrong, I love our vets and soldiers for putting their lives on the line for freedom and they deserve much better treatment when they get home.I don't remember to many senators sons going to war however. It reminds me of this.

I hear ya, man.  I hate it too.  Governments always find a way to manipulate nations into killing each other.   It's disgusting, and when you think about the money being made by both sides...  It's downright evil.  General Smedley Butler knew what it was all about (money) and he explains it succinctly in his book "War is a Racket".  He was WAY before his time.

  15. Yet you'll never get a reasonable answer why millions have been slaughtered, or 3rd world nations manipulated. The gravy train is almost over, & the west has to face some hard questions. For example, WHAT was WMD about?(Cherry LOVed that lil' holocaust, eh?) Any insights there, GB?
  16. It's interesting how divisive this charlatan is( +'s & -'s abound)..but at least the bully pulpit has finally been smashed. Progress for a day.
  17. Nice eco-footprint. Dude's wardrobe could provide drapes for half of Asia. Tired of bullying, right wing apologists, Should've happened in the late 80's.
  18. Prob Dubas worried that Hutch was eyeing his position..another Snow-job
  19. Wasn't he all-in to go guns blazing in Iraq? About 1,000,000+ slaughtered there, wasn't it GRAPES?! 30 yrs too late for this..curtains!
  20. You're right, them Cal road games are key. At least we held up down there.
  21. Silver lining is they can LTIR their way to Xmas. Lovely lil' $25,000,000ish!!! number.
